Meanwhile, a mage returns to the shop and takes a seat next to Minion. She sets some donuts onto the counter and steals Minion's newspaper and begins to read it while eating a jelly-filled donut.

My...uh, 'affiliations' are with whoever I feel like and noone in particular. And I suppose if that's the entry fee, then yeah, I'll cough it up. But I won't stay tied down to anyone or anything."

Minion sighs and has a seat at the table. He thinks for a long moment, weighing his options.

Minion looks up and speaks again to Æsir, "Very well, you are welcome to join this guild. Be wary of your actions though."

Minion stands and offers him a tour of the facilities and what the corporation has to offer.

Okay, Dusty, Silas, Æsir, Rikimaru, Mr. Csen, we finally now have a guild benefit!

Teremir, Balkantar, and Velisious show up. Teremir has finally talked Balkantar to ally more solidly with Vashna, since he was such a big help.

Teremir walks in and says, "Hey! We're lookin to join up. What needs done? Also, we come bearing a gift for Vashna for all the help he's given us over the course of our time in the Battle Arena."

If greeting Vashna he simply says, "Hey, we're lookin to join your operations. You've helped us and we've decided we'd like to be able to help you now. Also, we come bearing gifts. You know, a token of our gratitude and that sorta thing."

Vashna shows up momentarily after the brothers' arrival. With a sliding pace he strides to the shop entrance and gives a sarcastic shrug. Minion makes a move to hand then the standard test, but Vashna waves it aside.

Vashna: "I've already seen their motives and what they can do, that won't be necessary Minion. You all are welcome to join assuming there are no ulterior motives at work. Minion will run you through the rules and regulations, see myself, Irastor, Minion, or just about anyone here if you want any help on whatever you're doing. Though be careful who here you owe favors."

Teremir grins, "Ahh, and the mighty Vashna appears in the nick of time. What possible ulterior motives could I have? I think I've made it plain what I'm out for. Money. And the other two are for power. We've learned that the best way to obtain money or power is to ally with strong people. We'd never bite the hand that feeds so to speak. Thank ya for lettin is in!"

The brothers all give a small head nod towards Vashna as a show of respect for their joining.

Balkantar says, "I'll be sure to keep these two out of trouble. As you said, we should be careful who we owe favors."

"Not a problem, now back to preparations. Please begin on whatever you'd like."

With a whisk of his cloak, he skulks back to the library with a low cackle. Minion proceeds to show them to the Treasury, Vending Machine, Mech Hanger, Bunker, Library, and shop.

A tall figure robed in black and white serenely glides up to the counter, his wide-brimmed hat fluttering with obscuring veils. Bowing, he addresses whoever might be presently in attendance.
"Good afternoon. Would this be the the guild run by Sir Vashna Saseen? If so, I would be interested in becoming a member, if such is at all possible."

Minion greets Cael politely with a nod.

"I'm afraid Sir Sasseen is in his study and not to be bothered. I can however get you signed up."

He walks to a file cabinet and retrieves a paper survey. He sets it on the counter near Cael with a pen.

The paper has three questions written plainly on it.

Jillian Cornarii IV walks in at this moment looking around to see the stock.

She looks to see if there are any females around for assistance...

"Hello, is anyone there?

Her voice is a very timid one, but lingers on the wind throughout the building.

The hat bobs as Cael nods, taking the pen and setting about answering the questions.

I have met and am on good terms with several members of the Arena, and occasionally collaborate with them on projects. Notably, these include the artificer Lady Rosaline Fabrice, and the Floating Isle of Volatilis.
I am also personally acquainted with one thousand individuals holding the rank of Master Elementalist, including Lord Nalkeron, also known as The Stormkeeper, the influences of whom have aided me greatly in my studies.

What talents would you bring to this corporation?
As a Spirit Tamer of Seirei, I have considerable experience and knowledge on the ways of spirits, and how to approach them. I have some experience in the field of Spirit Magic and Binding to complement this.
I am also a fairly knowledgeable practitioner of the versatile field of Elemental Magic, and have chosen to walk the path of the Aeromancer thus far, granting me greater control over the winds. My connection with the thousand Elementalist Masters previously mentioned has further deepened my understanding of the field. Through whims of fate or fortune, I have picked up several other abilities that either increase my control over the element of air, or are somehow related to it.
Of late, I have recently taken to studying the unusual field of Astral Magic, that I might learn more of the realms above the skies.
Finally, my servant spirit Zephyrus, a spirit of the winds, is bound to my service. His natural abilities to manipulate the winds and read the air to glean information from far-off and unseen locations -not to mention the general abilities his spiritual form grants- have proven to be of great benefit in the past, both to myself and those who have traveled with me.

The robed figure passes the paper back to Minion with a sleeve-covered hand. "If you have any other questions, please let me know."
The hat nods politely to Jillian as she enters the building.

There is a voluptuous woman working near the back counter. She's dusting the wares.

In response to her question, Minion turns from Cael to the cabinet and then back to Jullian with a survey.

Minion nods and smiles warmly at Cael, "This is excellent, welcome to the corporation!"

He asks that Cael give him a moment to see to their other guest before he explain the ins and outs of the guild.

after filling out the small slip of paper she holds the piece of paper to her chest and calls for the woman working at the back counter.

"Ms.! ... Ms.!
I have filled out the paperwork to apply.

[as an fyi, Jillian will not hand the slip of paper back to Minion.]

The woman at the back counter looks up surprised. Her shock turns to a sly grin as she understands the situation. She walks around the counter and towards Jillian with a confident pose, her heels resounding on the tiles.

She approaches closely to Jillian. You can feel her perfume rolling over you. She speaks a little too sweetly as she takes the paper, "And what might your name be? Let's see what your wonderful answers are . . ."

"Old man! This one is approved!"
Minion sighs, "You aren't allowed to approve applicants, Miss."
"But she clearly won't defer to the likes of you. Besides, I think I likes her tastes."

Minion shakes his head and thinks for a bit.

"For now she's accepted, but her actions are also your responsibility."
The lady huffs, "Fine, I'll make sure she . . *looks into Jillian's eyes* . . behaves."

Jillian no long seems timid and stares back right into the ladies eyes.

instead of the usual timid voice the girl speaks in a strong firm voice flows from her mouth.

"You don't have to worry about me!"

The succubus winks and smiles, "What a strong woman, this way-" She shows Jillian about the corporation, explaining the shop, shares, buildings, mages on hand, and such.

Minion proceeds to explain the same to Cael.

Vashna is going to be moving the corporation assuming it survives the mess with the Fogsea Beacon. He is currently taking suggestions for the next place to set-up shop. (Has to be a place besides Nexus.)

Cael votes they go somewhere quiet with little danger to surrounding areas should the guild attract unwanted attention, the better to work on guild projects without inconvenient outside disturbances. He also suggests some of the Cloud Kingdom be used as a base for the... well, base in order to maximise defensibility. He can apparently have Zeph fly him up, and the guild seems to have some helicoptors at their disposal... (Also, sky fortresses + aeromancers just work)

Sadly, he doesn't know of many worlds or lands besides his own (totally unacceptable, according to him), Rael'ael(?) (currently possibly having issues with a trapped portal and roaming gallowhands, not to mention the Library of the Lorekeepers' weirdness) and the Starry Plains of El'Bazril (which might actually be a possibility if the hags don't mind a weird cloud-city suddenly turning up).

Geddoe, unless you mention a better desert, I'm assuming you mean Sildreza.

If you mean Sildreza, the answer is no.

Vashna doesn't want to be near the Library of the Lorekeepers, that's bad-news-bears right there.

As for the Starry Plains of El'Bazril . . . how hostile are those hags and how close are they to the gate?

Cael reports that there don't seem to be too many hags in this version of the plain (or too close to the gate- they apparently prefer the swamps), although they really don't seem very friendly, at least by reputation. He mentions that his brief jaunt through alternate timelines showed considerably more numrous, better organised and warlike hags, however. Whether this is any reflection of what might come to pass in this timeline is unknown.

Cael suggests someone visits the Tavern to ask one of the more reliable bartenders (preferably Bartender) about suitable worlds, if the Plains are unsuitable and Vashna has any ideas as to what kind of world he'd want it to be.
The robed mage still recommends the cloud kingdom-guild idea for defensibility, but doesn't push the issue if Vashna seems uninterested.

Cael actually offers to go to the tavern himself should nobody else be available, although his diary is slightly full at present. He asks which characteristics Vashna would find most desirable in a location/world in which to station the new guild complex/small town (seriously, we've got, among other things, five city blocks, several stores and concert halls, a library, three power plants, an observation tower, three concert halls, rolling countryside and a mech hangar. Placed correctly, we could end up with a rather pretty cloud-island township)

Vashna will be edging the lvl5 brigade into joining as much as he can without scaring them from the corporation. (I'll talk to Hazezeroking about his three.) After that and another specific incident, this should be ready.

As previously mentioned, Cael would be happy to join in, but only if he manages to get out of the weird temporal oddness in (heh) time. Also a rapid driveby of the library to remove the ban and speed-reading of two particular ability books.

He has a suggestion!
Somewhat in the vein of Vashna's proposed death ray/orbital cannon/etc idea, some form of magic-channeling array! The guild now contains three notably spellcasty types- Vashna and his Wizard Magic, Irastor with whatever the odd brand of magic he practices is, and Cael with Elemental Magic. Each could lend itself to interesting tactics if given a suitable focus to zap things/pull elemental weirdness through.

and no indication whatsoever of how the apparently frail and willowy mage managed to get such vast wealth there. He bows politely to Vashna as the mage passes.

I have been informed that Vashna was waiting on the responses of these guys before starting the thread. I was previously unaware of this.

Responses:

Alex Bennion - Yes. He wants the chance to be part of an Ascension and pit his powers against Ascendants.
Gerald Feorlyth - Yes, he thinks he can master dread banking if powered up to fight Ascendants.
Krexil Nei'Beidon - Meh. He'll come if you want. He isn't particularly interested.
Balko Dogmaster - Yes if you can guarantee the dogs' safety. No otherwise.
Hemminer the Sage - No. He'd rather stay at base.

Vashna says that he's pleased to have all of them on board!

(Looking over the front page, I note that the guild's properties are still said to be at the old Citadel location, and that the only mercenaries available are the level 2 Apprentices, which have since become level 7 and gained a fair number of abilities. Also the guild now has robots and (maybe) dogs. Maybe they can be added?)

I'll update the location after we start the ascendant fighting.

Until Gad says, we still can rent only the lower level mages.

The Nailos brothers stroll in looking to talk to Vashna and see what they can accomplish. If they speak with anyone at the door to find Vashna or they're talked to by a servant and asked why, Teremir says, "It's been a while since we've been by, and we figured we'd see what sort of trouble has been brewing and see if we could get in on any action that's taking place."

Minion directs them to the library, saying Vashna has been cooped up there when not performing tasks.

Chen, the hulking ice golem, stands adjacent to the door outside and looks at them as they approach. It nods and opens the door for them.

Inside, the library is silent and dark save for a dim glow towards the back. As they approach, Vashna is seen hovering from shelf to shelf, selecting books out and levitating them to an increasing pile on the table.

He lands and nods as they approach. He follows it with laugh and rasps, "Good day, what brings you three back to this establishment?"

Velisious grins while shrugging and nods his head to Teremir. "He figured we'd come see what kind of trouble you may or may not have gotten into. More so I should say, what trouble can you get us into?"

Teremir laughs audibly, "Ahh my dear brother, of course I wanted to see what kind if mischief I could get into. You two followed. Then again you both know where we all go there's money to be made. *he looks over to Vashna.* So how are things? It's been quite some time and I see things have changed a little since the last time we were around. Anything in particular you've got planned as far as action goes?"

Balkantar gives a slight bow toward Vashna, "Pleasure to see you as always."

"Well that's a fortunate time to say those things, I recall you're all still BA members? If so . . ."

He slams a book forcefully back onto the shelf and heads to his desk, maps and starcharts splayed over it's surface.

"While the planning is still underway, yet almost to completion, we're are going to embarking on a hopeless fight. The Ascendant business has hit a bit of a rush and is short on villains, anti-heroes in this instance. I've gotten a contact and we're going to be joining the fray on their level, the church supplying equipment and temporary increases in raw power."

He looks over the three of them. "While it's late in the game, I believe I can get the three of you into the mess, if you are willing. There are rewards, and I believe it's more-so on how good of a fight we put up and the theatrics involved."

Teremir says, "Theatrics? I'm sure I could put up one hell of a show. I doubt my brothers would have any trouble either. Count us in. There's money to be made, and fun to be had. If there ever was a win win situation I think this would be it."

"Double-up until we bust then. See to whatever to can in this short period of time, we start soon with the new base's grand liftoff!"

With a wave he dismisses them.

While I'm only one step ahead, for guild members and associates of the Corp.: I've posted quests in the second post for this thread. While some are more ideas of what the Corporation could use getting done, some of these are listed objectives of other members' dealings and they may not let you go without them present. If I think of other quests/tasks I'll tag them there.

That list is kinda going to be a Corporation Bulletin Board for quests specifically (OOC, kinda my way to point out things that can be done by characters sitting about to get things more active). If PC's have ones they'd like to add they may post it here and I'll toss it in. Personal goals are fine but remember than some people like payment for services rendered.

NPC's may get involved with this as they please, but unless Gad specifically acts for one, I won't be making calls for them. PC's are encouraged to work with them regardless if it's for positive benefit.

For the record, Sword-Vashna becomes a member of this.

Celiria, having fulfilled her quest for the homeworld, needs some goals. She decides to check out the Three of Swords, the dragoon walking in with a polearm, and looking around.

(We're not a shop anymore I'm afraid, how is she getting there?)

She'll enter through the portal, then sprout wings of draconic magic and fly up there. She is a bit impressed by the base, as it would make a nice dragon's lair.

She reaches the gates that sit open and arrives in the courtyard. The stones are splayed out in a pattern identical to a Roulette Wheel, though a pattern of Orange and Black eschewing the usual Red. She recognizes in the center on a pedestal standing in the sun in the Roulette Master. His scythe slung over his shoulders and arms resting over that give his gaunt look the impression of a scarecrow, though a noticeable lack of birds.

With a limber motion he makes a single step to the ground and raises upright to height. He bows low and returns erect with a greeting and wave, "Welcome Celeria, if I'm corrrrrrect! What business do you have here?"

Celiria grins and bows as well, her greater vent plume halberd staying up right through her bow.
"Greetings, The Roulette Master, I believe? I've heard much about you and this guild. My homeworld is safe from both the Bright Crusade, and the New Dark Empire for now, so I seek new employment. I have been working on my dragon side, and so I also need to gather a hoard as it were. I figure that an illustrative guild such as the one you are a member of will both make good use of a dragon dragoon, and will allow me to reach me personal goals."

She smiles.
"As such, I request permission to join your guild. I am ready for any task, even that of besting you in a fight."

The Roulette Master laughs with an eerily cheerful rasp, bringing his free hand to his chest and standing with his shoulders askance, "You claim that you can face the likes of me?!" He adjusts his monocle and leans forward as though observing writing, "Just so we're clear, I would have you out of chips before the river turned."

He clears his throat and stands up again, "The call lies with Vashna though since he's on-site. You're in for a treat. I've called for him already and he'll be down soon."

She smiles at this, and grins.
"Never said that I would win, but that I would face. And who knows, I might win."
She nods at his words.
"That's good to hear. Is there a place to wait?" she asks, before she starts to inspect her halbard, going back to her human form.

With the sound of a magically reverberating bungee cord, Vashna can be seen leaving from the top of the observing tower in a leap that ends with his cape furling open into a pair of translucent green wings of force. He drifts down towards the courtyard with a wild-eyed stare. He lands and without even a moment to pause starts walking towards Celeria before stopping a good four feet from her, his cape not even catching up to him until he ceases his momentum. His attitude is an unusual sort of quick-tempered and on the verge of a cunning paranoia.

Vashna snaps his fingers at her, "Alright, so you want to join too. What can you offer? What can you learn? And what are your current allegiances? All of them."

She nods at this, and starts to speak.
"Well, lets get the last one out of the way first. My current allegiances are to Gadigan, the Saints, my homeworld's protection. I owe alot to both Darston, who negotiated with Selereth to protect my homeworld, and to Selereth herself."

She smiles again.
"As to what I can offer as a dragon? I can offer physcial strength and protection that of a powerful dragon. I can offer the power of Dragons, and that of a dragoon, and of ancient dragonic magics. I can offer my skill with the polearm, which is wielded by a dragon's strength. As to what I can learn, what do you wish me to learn, as a dragon is always willing ot learn."

Vashna's face shows clear disgust while the Roulette Master holds his poker face. "Sereleth? So you're tied in with that lot. Very well . . . "

He starts to pace, pivoting about on heel before stopping immediately and pivoting back. "No, no I will not tell you what to learn. That's not what I want to do. Tell me Miss Dragonheart, if one day you were to find that your homeworld got wiped out by a truly powerful foe, . . . . let's say Valcont himself, what would you do?"

He cracks his neck and smiles, "Consider carefully"

She blinks at this, but then her polearm comes crashing down in an attack position, and flame gathers on th tip.
"Even if it's Valcont himself, This dragon dragoon will fight him to the death. Dragons don't give up, not from my world. This dragon will fight and win."

"You seem quite heated, however . . . "

Vashna draws an evil looking blade bathed in a camel-colored flame and plants it in the ground.

"What do you gain by doing that? What does it cost you?"

She pauses, then fires off a blast from her halberd into the air.
"He destroyed this dragon's world. All she holds dear and to her heart. This dragon will avenge nomatter the cost. What does it get a dragon? Pride, Revenge, and making sure that no one else suffers what she has. And what it costs a dragon? Most likely everything if its valcont, but a price any dragon would pay."

Vashna claps and laughs, "I like your gumption kid, and months ago I might have let you in even despite your excessive connections. However . . "

He walks closer, " . . you have allegiances that carry more weight than I'd like to allow here. On top of that your affinity to Dragons is obscuring. And finally . . "

He stops perhaps even in whispering distance, "You're making the same mistake I made in a life long ago. You will not learn what you will need to, to prevent that while at this corporation. I chose the wrong path and cannot return. I won't see another such mistake before me."

He back up and crosses his arms. His eyes to the wild state they entered the conversation with, "Celeria Dragonheart, you are not permitted here."

Celiria nods at this. She looks sad, but turns and walks away.

*Hours later* <I'll delete this and move it back if the current conversation hasn't finished>

TSG, riding his way back from an off-world baseball game hosted by war-surviving orphans on a solid golden bicycle, passes by Three of Swords and their swanky courtyard. "Well I'll be my own uncle. This place? Here? All fortune-y and alluring? Now I have to stop by."

He cycles his way up to the Roulette Master, showing a rack of shiny teeth that each takes a moment to smile at him and wave.

*cling cling*

"Howdy. Nice place you've got 'ere. You. Know. I'm not really part of any guilds; that thing Lili's got going just gives out random benefits without any real draw. I hear you fellas get around to some interestin' stuff. I should put in an application! How'd I do that?"

Vashna reduces his expression to a smirk as he watches Celeria leave, "Let us hope she never has to suffer the same."

He waves to the Roulette Master as he leaves, "I'm back to studying, keep me up to date and come see me later."

*Hours Later*

The Roulette Master bows, confetti erupts from off-screen. "Weeeeelcome! As our next contestant, we have a special prize. Vashna himself is on-site and ready to screen your arrival!"

There is a pause as a summoning circle appears in dark green on the ground between the two of them. The encircled area glows breifly before Vashna is seen unceremoniously climbing out. "Well, it works at a distance now but it's still only an image," he mutters as he stands and snaps his fingers to close the circle.

There's an awkward pause as he realizes who he's screening. Not fear, not antagonism, just incredulity. He clearly wasn't expecting this. His mood simmers and he smiles coyly.

"Right. I'm sure you heard the drill from your uncle's attempt, but I'm already more aware of your doings. My question is, what is your purpose in joining?"

TSG chuckles hearing about the waruncle's antics.

TSG shrugs, rolling his large shoulders as he answers the question.

"Fun, really. I don't have an agenda; I leave that to others like you, Lili, Zaga... You folks do interesting work. I heard you fought the ascendants, for example. I figure you'll continue to do stuff like that and give me ample opportunity to face and beat interesting opponents if I'm tagging along.

I can always leave if I find out it's not my style, and you can always ask for the same if you find out I'm not yours. One thing I tend to be quite good at is identifying when working with someone will interfere with someone else I like to work with in a negative way and avoiding the situation; I don't see that being a problem here."

The golem spins his six-shooter around a finger as he leans forward conspiratorially, whispering...

"Plus, when it really comes down to it, I was created to be a powerful tool. I embrace that part of who I am, and like being used to accomplish goals. You, unlike many, have goals. You get it?"

He gives the projection a wink and leans back spinning the thing while the guild leader deliberates.

Vashna shakes his head shrugs, "Alas, I'm going to have to turn aside this offer I'm afraid. I respect your power and position despite being owned even in name, but keep in mind I have to worry about the collateral. A tool can be picked up and used by whoever holds it, the issue is when the wielder cannot control the weapon. You have a lot of hands on you already, Lili, Zaga, and the like."

With a smile and wave of his arm, "If one of these days, you manage to cast aside the shackles of your name and heritage, come biking back here and talk to me. I will reconsider, and also do tell me how you did, because I'll need to pass on knowledge similar to that."

The Sash chimes in, <For Zwei? Sir?>

<Yes>

He snaps his fingers, "Oh. Though much like Darston, if we need extra muscle for an upcoming mission, I'll give you a ring. We may find ourselves sitting on multiple fronts here soon."

The Roulette Master smiles and laughs at that comment.

TSG nods, as if he expected this answer.

"Put off by the irons, I get that. Consider me a merc, then; I do enjoy blowing stuff up."

He pauses.

"You know, I was offered the chance to be truly free once. I turned it down just as Lili turn down Axim's offer to remove my will and make me a smoothly operating puppet. She will not betray me, I think, or use me for anything I am well and truly opposed to. Until she so, I have no reason to seek complete freedom."

He hits the unpause button.

"While I'm here, Roulette Master, would you care for a few rounds of cards?"

The guy's back opens up and out flood human sized playing cards with a mushroom icon on the back of them.

*I think we're done here.*

Vashna notes that curiously, since that's a strong philosophical difference from his origin. He bids farewell, tries and fails a few attack into the sky, curses loudly, and then unsummons himself.

The Roulette Master is thrilled! He'd love to pass time with the Golem on some cards! He flips out a pistol and unloads his deck from it. "If I had known, I'd have arranged some motorcycles for our match!"

*Hours Later, after cards have ended and the sun has dipped lower, Kelver approaches (?)*

The druid, looking nervous as he flies up to the base on cloth wings of imagination lands iwth a thud. It's clear that the were-rat is not at all comfortable being up in the sky like this. He'd rather have solid ground. Still, he places a seed on the ground and a marching bush that seems stronger then normal appears and he starts to look around.

He enter the courtyard, the Roulette Master glides down off of his pedestal with a wave and shower of confetti. His mood is rather ecstatic.

"Welcome! You're the next lucky contestant with business at this corporation!" the Roulette Master yells over the roar of a now-audible phantom audience. "Now tell our viewers, what is your business here today?"

Kelvar looks shocked, but quickly recovers. "Oh, I have heard many great things about this place. Why, this guild's founder, I heard, helped lead me to being cleansed. So I figured I might turn my attentoins here to join. Forgive me though. I am KElvar, the wererat druid."

He bows to the RM, and a seed sprouts a big green shroom that hops and bows to the RM.

"Laaaaaadies and GENTLEMEN! WE HAVE ANOTHER CONTENDER!" He stances and sprays confetti, "Summon our challenger!"

There is a pause, The Roulette Master spinning back around and leaning down towards Kelver with a low tone, "I also would ask that you stop the summoning business while here, lest I presume a bush-ambush."

Similar to before but now appearing at ground level, Vashna appears with a flourish from a summoning circle.

"Welcome, I hear you want to join? Then I'll be blunt, I've had a number of these already today and I've gotten weary of wearing out questions. Tell me. What are your allegiances? What can your offer to the corporation? And what can you learn here?"

Kelvar nods at this, and dismisses the bushes.

"What are my allegiences? At the moment, to Gadigan, as all, but I am looking to learn. For the longest time I was only for myself, but i have changed, more open to others. I want to help, especially since i was cleansed from blight, thanks to you. You revealed Valcont's disease in the blackclad order, adn thus in a way redeemed me."

He grins.
"What I can offer, is not much compared to you, BUt i can offer my services as a druid, a guardian of nature, a rat shape shifter, and wielder of an artifact."

He looks puzzled at the last one.
"As to what I learn, should it not be what i cannot learn? We always learn new things. But I have learned that sacrificing all for pwoer or revenge is not worth it. That creatoin is stronger then destruction. To build is harder but more rewarding then to tear down."

"Ah, so you were involved with that. My hand there was a lot more serendipitous than I had expected."

Vashna then frowns, "No, my question was as intended. Since we learn a lot from a lot, but I need to know what you expect to pick up here specifically. Also I feel I must correct you there; remember that destruction is the work of an afternoon, creation is the work of a lifetime. One is not necessarily stronger than the other."

"That is true. I do wish to learn more about creation, and teamwork. How to make a positive difference. I am still learning the ropes as it were." He smiles sheepishly.
"Still, I hope to learn more about the trees, and the ways of magic. More of harmony and leading plants."

Vashna thinks on this, there is a long and unsettling pause.

"I think this may work, but you've got a lot of holes I'm unsure of. So here's what we'll do. We have an upcoming mission. You will join us on this mission and put forth your best effort. Depending on your abilities and the outcome I will decide if you join in or not. Do you agree to these terms?"

KElvar nods at this. "I see... Yes, I can do that. I would be honored to work alongside your guild. And hopefully to be part of it." The wererat nod nods eagerly.

"Good, welcome to the guild for the time being."

He bows and with a hop goes back into the circle. The Roulette Master bows as well and will step back onto the pedestal.

Kelvar blinks at this. "Soooo... , should i wait here, or go to my room? Also, when do you expect this job? Anything I should prepare for?" He tries to ask them before they leave.

Vashna doesn't stop, he clearly has more pressing matters.

The Roulette Master looks to him with that static smile and pronounces, "You may stay in the barracks for the time being. Though you may wish to stay in the garden instead. Given Caelum's absence you're to follow my and Janus's orders there. Please keep it clean and proper."

"The mission will be in a while, so you have time to prepare since we're waiting for other members to return. Prepare for aquatic combat."

He nods at this.
"That will be a bit difficult, as I rely on plants. Maybe I can pick up seaweed and the like." He thinks then smiles.
"May I get a few ponds in the gardens so I can practice summoning sea weed? And is there an aquatic environement I can practice in?"

The Roulette Master nods, "We do have some ponds. Also, Langidor can help you with the water tank, as he resides there."

Gerald adds the following items to the guild treasury:
