Kit wanders to the portal with the intention to do things with the body. The crystal-growth-studded, vaguely-lemon-scented Aptim boy's form pops into reality as she crosses the portal-room's threshold, slumped where she left it, surrounded by a pile of small, rough yellow crystals.

Kit gets:
40 Small Narcotic Crystal- (Item, Material, Earth & Acid, 200,000 Gold)

Kit gets to work trying to infuse the body's mana pattern with new things!

The Curative Potion, Alluring Perfume, Earth Mana Oil and Large Diamond are all absorbed, although some don't seem to have caused any immediate effects or changes.
The Common Jell Acid, Glowing Rosary, Desert Dew Flower and Cuppa Joe are spat out.
The Poison Zombie's Hand breaks.

The body now smells rather more strongly of fresh lemon with undertones of citrus and some other scents. It's actually really rather pleasant. The nubby crystal-horns look a little larger and sparklier than they were before, and some of the crystalline growths seem to be more refractive.

The body now registers as:

Aeromage wrote: Kit inserts a few more things into the body's mana pattern. All at once, at that.

Things spiral quickly out of control.

The Day Dragon's gem infuses the body's crystals with blinding daylight, causing the horns to grow visibly from nubs to considerably larger, sharper spikes. The Sand Diamond makes them grow larger still, and makes both the horns and the crystalline growths over the body significantly more jewel-like. The Small Ruby Stone vanishes into its pattern, causing one or two of the visible growths to take on a reddish tint.
Then the souls surge in.

Kit, all too late, remembers the repeated warnings about spiritual possession given to her by a put-upon Shrine Maiden.

The Shadow's Radiance immediately tries to take over the body, hits the sunlight-infusion from the much-more-powerful Day Dragon's Gem, and is obliterated, giving the body enough time to open its eyes and scream in pain before the Dryad's Essence surges in after, its nature-and-plant essence instead being bolstered by the potent source of internal sunlight.
The Shadow-soul being absorbed, even for the brief period it was present, gives enough time for the Hungering Totem to go from 'generally not accepted' to hook up with the body's narcotics-generation and the Fatigued-infliction such drugs tend to have, giving it an in and causing it to whisk into pattern.
The theme of cannibalism now present, along with a draconic jewel-infusion, and the thing being temporarily-a-body-and-not-an-entity lets the Vampiric Dragonheart in.
Vampires and sunlight don't mix well. At all. The body, once again, screams in indescribable agony as its internally-generated light clashes against the sudden vampiric infusion, whilst simultaneously attempting to accept the 'draconic' mixture thrown into the mix.
This unstable mess would ordinarily cause the entire thing to burn itself out immediately. However, the Vampiric Dragonheart came from a significant event full of abstandard undead, and outvalues the source of the sunlight even without such considerations being taken into account. The sunlight begins to gutter and flicker as the vampiric nature asserts itself, warring with the Dryad's Essence and light.
The vampiric nature asserting itself causes the Lord of the Dead's Crown to come crashing in, vanishing into the body. A horrific cracking, crunching noise issues from the shrieking, flailing body's head as more crystalline horns erupt from its brow and work their way into becoming a sort of horn-crown made of darkening, flickering crystal.
All of this would, more than likely, cause the result to either reject the sunlight entirely (along with the Dryad's Essence, thus turning the body into some sort of soulless vampiric husk), but, weak as it might be by comparison, Kit had also stuffed an Essence Flux Amulet into the mix. Both warring pattern-factions are suddenly given alternate avenues as the 'Essence Flux' becomes rather deeper than the original item's scope would otherwise provide. The sunlight coursing through the crystals suddenly surges and focuses at the tips, trickles of blood starting to ooze from the base of the crystalline growths as additional sunlight is pumped and purged from the body and into the jewel-like formations.

Several other things happen, as the proximity to Seirei causes some additional essence-folding to occur that Kit can't quite grasp.

The scent of fresh lemons and blood permeates the air as the body rises to its feet.

In front of Kit stands a lanky, blond-haired teenage boy in threadbare shorts and shirt, a crown of dark, glittering crystals tipped with flickers and flares of sunlight growing from his head. Dark-yellow and -red jewel-like growths, each similarly flickering with purged sunlight, jut at irregular intervals from his arms and legs, his hands and feet ending in crystalline claws. His face is a twisted expression of feral rage and hunger- the bared teeth are fangs of the same crystalline material, his eyes glowing yellow points against black sclera.
Fixed entirely on Kit.
The boy lets out a keening, hissing cry- part pain, part rage, part ravenous, desperate desire to eat- that sets Kit's teeth on edge and her hackles up.

Kit realises that, in hindsight, while stuffing a soul into a soulless body stated as being very susceptible to possession was bad enough, stuffing in a Soul that was also a weapon likely guaranteed the result would be hostile.
Stuffing a soul that was also a weapon into a soulless body along with a bunch of rare and powerful things from a decidely narratively-potent outing full of abstandard undead with just the right materials to feasibly bridge the gap into letting them in was also, in hindsight, perhaps a rather large mistake.
Kit's Danger Sense is going off something fierce, right now.

The hissing, hungering thing launches itself at the foxwoman with far, far more speed than she was expecting, crystal-fanged maw agape as it desperately seeks to sate its crazed hunger for flesh and blood on the only other living being in the area.

Kit is going to need some stats at this point.

However, she is, she notes with some concern, not fast enough to get multiple actions before it hits. The kid surely can't have been too high-level before all this. What kind of effect did those absorbs have on him?

Actions?

Kit is a glorious being and an expert abjurer. she can do this! She is also a JUDGE of the Heavens. She declares that this being msut be contained until a proper plan can be done. Holy energy will attempt to lock and keep it trapped in bubble, the rod of redemption flaring as she gets ready to try a plan once she gets the information.

The result is... kind of a mess.

*Aberrant Revenant Abomination (Aptim-Dryad-Vampire-Dragon-Wendigo Fusion): Nameless Ravener (Human & Spirit & Undead & Dragon & Fae, Level 59)

He's got a significant chunk of draconic abilities of his level-band, including an oddly diverse number of breath weapons at his disposal that seem to key into the mess of other things Kit put into that mix of absorbs and the resultant influencing entity-types currently smashed together inside him (daylight, darkness, blood, blizzard, 'howling', 'famine', narcotic and necrotic). This also includes draconic magics and mass-dispel abilities.
He's got some Dryad-abilities which seem to be slightly weaker than the other skillsets he has, but are still definitely present- being able to manipulate and control plants, healing, turning himself into a plant-creature and both summoning and inhabiting plants and using them as a means to evade damage. This, notably, doesn't seem to be able to hook up with the other skillsets very well, or at least it doesn't at the moment.
He's got vampiric abilities. Vampiric drain of both HP and MP, summoning up and/or turning into clouds of mist, significant Charm-inflicting abilities and some Dominion, dark magic, general vampiric toughness and being resurrectable unless killed by something he's specifically weak to. Which would be light, except the crystals in his body are capable of drawing out and dispersing light, making that a less-effective method than it would otherwise be. He's also capable of turning other people into horrible dark-draconic-magic tainted vampiric-wendigo things, albeit without the narcotic, crystalline, dryadic-nature stuff he has.
He's got general Undead-abilities, which includes a passive aura allowing him to absolutely control Undead that are less-powerful than he is, as well as a notable ability to control Seireian Revenants. He's able to levy some unpleasant, wasting curses on people, inflict Hexed to a particularly potent degree, and link up with his vampiric and wendigo nature to even-more-easily become incorporeal and hard-to-hit.
He's got some Wendigo powers. It seems that, despite the Hungering Totem's lower power-level compared to the other things, his original spiritual nature combined with all the Snowdeath stuff and Wendigos being around that level on top of the Totem's tendency to curse people into slowly becoming cannibalistic monsters has granted him some manner of that entity's essence. He can strike terror into others and feed off their fear to become stronger, is much harder to kill than he would otherwise be, is outright unable to be killed by those less powerful than him unless they spend a significant amount of time dedicated to doing exactly that, can manifest terrible, tearing blizzards, can strike people with horrible starvation that strongly encourages cannibalism as a solution, and, perhaps most concerningly, can unleash a horrific wail capable of striking people dead in an instant.

Individually, these skills are not as powerful as the entities they might come from would be. In addition, his hunger-crazed state is unlikely to let him use them with the finesse or presence of mind to truly bring out their true and full potential, and he's only just come into being as whatever the heck he is, likely preventing him from using them as effectively.
On the other hand, despite all this, the entities they came from are, at least with regards to the Wendigo and Snowdeath entities, powerful enough that he'll be engaging with Kit at around about the same level as she is, to say nothing of what might happen if he was to combine them. On top of this, he seems very, very insistant on getting what he wants, and what he wants happens to be a significant portion of Kit's bodyweight in raw meat and blood.

Yep, it definitely looks like Kit has caused herself a problem, here.

Tsatmeiyel doesn't have the time to work on counter-strategies with what Kit has given it to work with, but it conveys (through dream-sped thoughts) that as a revenant, the entire thing is being essentially empowered by a soul that doesn't really belong in the body- which is possibly why the Dryad-powers don't seem to be meshing or combining as well as the others. That might be the weak link.
Of course, given that this thing is now operating off horrible Undead-Vampire-Dark Magic powers, punching out its soul might not be as final a solution as it might otherwise be, instead leaving a body working off what amounts to preprogrammed impulses that'd need (at the very least) restraining or shutting down in some other way.

Kit sets a bubble of abjuration magic around the AptimDryadDragonWendigoVampire(???) a moment after the scan goes off, readying the Rod of Redemption!
Kit then promptly activates the Aeon Diadem, undoing the round and resetting things to the start of the battle.

As battle begins anew, Kit casts a spell to ensure nothing will truly die unless she wills it to (with the bonus of being able to choose what they come back as) and immediately attempts to do several things at once. Unfortunately, the part of her plan dependent on reinforcing the abjuration-bubble is, she realises all-too-late, no longer possible because she undid its creation when she rewound time. Somewhat thrown off by this, she tries to punch the incoming creature with the intent on hitting it square in what might be the thing's weakest link, the soul empowering it.
The-Abomination-Previously-Known-As-Len twist-dodges in mid-air, attempting to fade into incorporeality as it does so, but Kit's Soul-Punching ability ignores such petty concerns as having a body to punch. Still, she only manages to clip the incoming teenage monstrosity.
As she hits, she simultaneously tries to re-write its memory, purify it and somehow apply her ability to summon abstandard variants of spiritual humans, humanoids and fae as Spirits in order to fix matters.
Not having a Book equipped, Kit attempts to use the Era Index as she did with Marefore in order to make use of the memory-rewriting power. Unfortunately, Kit only knows how to rewind people's memories with this, and the entity currently aiming for her throat only came into being moments ago with the exact same intentions it has right now. This doesn't help matters.
Kit's attempt to purify it with the Rod of Redemption doesn't seem to be taking, either.
Kit's attack is further hampered by not having the forcefield she was counting on being there, forcing her to have to perform it with rather more haste and less skill than she'd have liked.
It is also not terribly tied to the element of Life, is quite possibly either entirely or partially Undead, and isn't a summon she owns, preventing her Genesis Architect or Keeper of the Afterlife abilities from coming into play in any relevant capacity.

Any further thoughts Kit might have are suddenly and violently cut short by the spiritually-amalgamated-and-possessed body cannoning into her at speed. It isn't a graceful or a particularly well-executed attack on the thing's part, but Kit is rather too thrown off to mount an effective defense. Obsidian-sharp teeth rip into Kit's throat as it clamps its mouth down, dealing only Minor damage but hitting Kit with the very definite and unpleasant sensation of beginning to have her blood sucked out.
The pain abruptly lessens, being replaced by an odd lightheaded, floaty feeling as something else starts to leech into her body, swiftly followed by a horrible, empty sensation in her stomach.
Kit is hit with Fatigued and Fatigued: Starvation.

Tsatmeiyel gazes upon the offending monstrosity twohundredfold times, opting to back Kit's holy magic up with Glory-empowered offenses. It hits solidly, but the thing remains resolutely clamped.

The Revenant continues to bite down from its position firmly clamped onto the foxwoman's throat. Kit is hit by a further wave of numbness, dizziness and hunger, and thinks she has taken minor damage once more.
Well, at least it seems content to drain her blood for now, rather than do some of the other horrible things she knows it has at its disposal. Then again, if it gets less hungry, she realises, it might start thinking clearly enough to get creative...

Tsatmeiyel calls in gummy fruit-clouds to heal Kit, successfully restoring Kit's health fully!
Kit's attempt to age her blood seems to work, too, causing the thing to disengage!

Unfortunately, its method of disengaging is most definitely not what the foxwoman had in mind. With an angered, hissing roar, the revenant wrenches its head back, ripping out a chunk of Kit's neck and dealing heavy damage along with afflicting her with Wounded: Bleeding. Its teeth snap shut as it swallows, bounding away from the wounded foxwoman and leveling her with a considerably more calculating, if no less hungry gaze.

Aeromage wrote: Kit isn't actually feeling any pain. She's still worryingly numb around her neck. Nonetheless, she calls upon a mighty blast of Celestial Wind to blow the creature into a wall and layer a reality-overriding tragedy upon it!
The revenant responds by diving behind the freestanding fancy white-and-gold double doors in an equally-fancy doorframe inside the room, which weather the impact with absolutely no damage, save for the little hanging sign on one of the handles (reading 'Now open, probably') getting blown off and clattering against the far wall. Something happens from behind the doors. Kit feels her tragedy-bubble being twisted from her grasp, metaphorically speaking.

More gummy fruit clouds rain down upon Kit, healing her for a moderate amount.

The revenant dives from behind the doors, dark magics swirling around it in sickly whorls. An erratic barrage of magics launch in Kit and the Dream's general direction, failing to hit squarely, but still managing to deal Minor damage. Some effect fails to take hold, but a secondary effect suddenly comes rushing in as a familiar tragedy-bubble reasserts itself... on Kit and the Dream. Both are afflcited with Hexed: Ill Fortune.

She feels the hexing-effect weaken slightly, but it's not going to wear off without either focused effort or time during the fight.
Grasping her Artifact's weapon-aspect, Kit steps forward, rockets herself supernaturally-quickly at her maybe-possibly-probably undead foe, and stabs him straight through with the oversized clock hand's temporal blast.
It looks like a solid, nasty hit. He visibly slows down, even. She's pretty sure he's been hit by one of the effects it has to offer, but given he's still moving it's likely not Time Stop or Temporal Stasis. He's also still moving, so that soul is most definitely still in there.

Tsatmeiyel builds its tower anew, peering at the Revenant once more.
It look a heavy hit with that last attack, it seems, although it's by no means out of the fight. It's also been hit by Suffocation: No Future as has had its turn-order cut into. The links binding its soul to its body have also taken some damage.

Working with the knowledge it had previously (after all, even though the round was rewound, the tower grants Sight Beyond Time and thus what it once saw, it sees and knows no matter where it might be in current temporal shenanigans), it determines that the Revenant is definitely weak to Light, although using Light on it will allow it to weaponise the element through the crystal horns and growths studding its body. It'd be a reliable way to damage it, but on the other hand, it'll open up a number of heavy counterattacks unless Kit finds a way to get rid of the crystals. Making it hungry will also make it more likely to revert to a feral, cannibalistic frenzy and less likely to use its more magical and complex abilities, but that comes with the downside of making it far, far more aggressive, which the Dream notes Kit didn't deal with too well.
It also seems to have a slight weakness to Life, possibly through the mixture of Wendigo and Vampire essences, which won't end up triggering a crystal-channeled counter. This may end up empowering the Dryad-part of itself in some way, though.
All in all, knocking that Soul free seems to be the best way to go about things, although the Dream isn't sure if that'll render the body re-comatose or cause it to become a feral, aggressive (although hopefully more predictable) bundle of instincts.

The Revenant unleashes an eardrum-shattering howl, sound mixed with palpable force bowling Kit over and back and buffeting the Fantasmic. Kit takes Minor damage as she feels her stomach twist and squeeze, her body beginning to shrivel slightly. Kit feels like the Starvation effect on her just got a lot worse.

Aeromage wrote: The monstrosity possessing the teenager- well, not that, precisely. Who can say, given the entity before Kit is the result of a combo? She's getting the feeling that this thing is wrong in many ways besides the obvious.
Regardless, a strange look other than 'starved, agonised, murderous rage' passes over its face, as if of suddenly remembering something it forgot. And then, just as quickly, the expression- and Kit's view of her enemy- are gone as the portal chamber is abruptly and violently filled with a screaming, howling maelstrom of freezing snow and shredding hail.

Kit is caught completely offguard by the sudden, pre-emptive blizzard and takes moderate damage, the ice and wind temporarily unbalancing her and making her follow-up attack considerably less certain than it would otherwise have been. The horrible, gnawing hunger in her stomach isn't helping either, sapping strength from her arms. Swinging blindly into the storm, she manages to clip something, from the feel of it, but it didn't feel like a sure blow.

Gummy clouds congregate through the storm to heal Kit once more, but the tearing teeth of the gale shred them enough to prevent Kit from healing back up to full.

An awful, keening wail cuts through the howling blizzard like a knife, seemingly bypassing the ears and striking directly at Kit's very core.
Kit's seen and heard a lot of things in her time as an Arena Member. She's been on Megaquests. She's fought countless enemies every day. Regardless, the sound carries an edge to it that is nothing short of terrifying. Kit feels like she managed to avoid something very bad.

At the same moment, her connection to the Dream of Tomorrow vanishes abruptly. The shearing winds and pelting, knife-like ice shards of the blizzard are making it impossible to see what's going on there, either, or even where she is in the chamber right now.

Kit throws up a bubble of abjuration magic in a hasty attempt to shield herself from the ongoing indoor blizzard whilst attempting to deal with whatever effects it's landed on her. The shield manages to block most of force of the knife-like (figuratively) wind and knife-like (literally) hailstones, but it's still coming through. It shouldn't be able to deal nearly as much damage so long as she maintains the bubble, although she isn't sure how well it'll hold up to a direct attack by the thing.
Bracing herself and splitting her focus even more between preparing a magical blast and healing, she manages to restore a minor amount of health and deal with some of the starvation-effect that's been laid on her. It's still hanging around, though. This thing can apparently stack it.

Strange shapes flicker in and among the torrential hail, freezing mists and howling gales. Another horrible, hackle-raising howl cuts through the cacophony, but doesn't seem to have any obvious effect on Kit beyong being really, really creepy and unnerving.

Kit casts her senses into the future. She gets hazy visions of a blizzard of blood-red hailstones and snow that drains away health and magic, and a shearing blast of screaming black, terror-inspiring ice and force blasting through her shield and bringing both fear and dreadful hunger with it. It's going to hit soon, although she can't quite tell which direction it's going to come from.

As if on cue, the wind takes on a different, more threatening pitch as the blinding blizzard darkens in hue. At first rimed with red, the storm soon shifts to being composed entirely of crimson ice-shards and snow, rapidly staining the previously-blank (if highly unstable and shifting) canvas of the battlefield. If there was ever any doubt, the foxwoman's training in the holy arts is most definitely filing this under 'evil magic stuff', and pretty nasty at that.

Kit runs headlong into the ornate, freestanding set of white-and-gold doors to the Spirit World at the same time the attack she foresaw hits from behind. The world shifts from red to black as icicles as long as sword blades shear into her back, immediately driving both agonising pain and terrible, terrible cold through her body. The chill sets in rapidly, bringing with it a horrible, bone-deep fear and terrible, all-consuming hunger that mingles with the existing pit in her stomach to form something even worse.
She has to eat.
She has to eat right now.

Kit spins, still impaled by the black blades of ice, and hurls the spiritually-overdriven blast of pure light and magic back through the still-incoming torrent of darkness, putting the full force of her power behind it and channeling her knowledge of that one soul-punching technique that served her so well in the earlier rounds of battle. She's rewarded by a scream of pure agony as the cascade of darkness and dagger-sharp ice is blown away and immediately overpowered once more by the only-slightly-less-awful storm of blood-red hail and snow.
The screaming doesn't stop.
Neither does the storm, which Kit realises is getting considerably brighter by the moment.
She is almost about to take it as a good sign, one of impending victory, before she remembers something the Dream of Tomorrow shared with her before she lost contact with it amidst the chaos:
Using Light on it will allow it to weaponise the element through the crystal horns and growths studding its body. It'd be a reliable way to damage it, but on the other hand, it'll open up a number of heavy counterattacks unless Kit finds a way to get rid of the crystals.

Kit just hit it with an extremely powerful, purely Light-element blast of magic.
Kit did not manage to destroy any of the crystals in the body.

The resulting wave-blast of sound, concussive force and searing, blinding light shatters the blizzard into bloodmist, shears straight into and through Kit, and blasts the doors to the Spirit World open behind her, sending the foxwoman tumbling through in a cascade of blood, fur, corruptive magic and wailing radiance. Kit takes major damage from the assault, and spirals into the mists beyond the door.
Reality corkscrews around her, around itself, around that horrible, all-encompassing hunger clawing at her every thought and demanding with vice-like grip to eat, to consume, to fill her stomach with anything, anything to make the pain go away as layers upon layers of horrific starvation-effects feed back upon themselves to become something far, far greater.

The agony of the bone-deep chill from the embedded chunks of black ice is met with an equally unpleasant amount of heat as the world around Kit sparks into reds and golds. Kit plunges through burning clouds into an impressionist landscape painted in strokes of flames and cinders, a molten river snaking its way from seething banks of coals and embers to freedom amidst the heat-haze of the air, trees with canopies of billowing flames thrashing and twisting violently in the convection currents and disturbing flocks of black birds, shedding not feathers, but powdery trails of soot in their wake.

Kit gets:
"Created an Abomination through Inadvisable Absorbs Into A Possession-Susceptible Body in Close Proximity to Seirei"
"Unleashed the Nameless Ravener on Seirei"

Curse of the Wendigo's Hunger- (Passive Ability, Curse) Possessor is afflicted by Fatigued: Starvation at the start of every round as an effect that ignores possessor's Resistances, Immunities and Absorptions and that can stack up to 10 times and cannot be removed by sources that do not count as a Food Consumable. Aeromage wrote: Kit attempts to rewind time, to undo what has been done in order to escape her present situation- and, perhaps, that terrible, ravaging hunger welling up within her. Suffusing her every thought. Tearing through her concentration.

Kit's attempt at time-travel hits a snag. Several snags.
She already used the Aeon Diadem's rewind during the earlier battle. Its power is great, but the oomph it might otherwise have provided is instead lessened to its (still considerable) baseline-power of time-manipulation.
She passed through from the physical world to the Spirit World. Time is different here. Space is different here. Reality is different here. Each of these things is like a wall, blocking Kit from being able to skip backwards along the flow of time.
She passed through the doorway created to link to the Spirit World. Something about it is throwing her attempt off.
She's just too hungry to focus properly.

Individually, these would have been enough to simply shut her attempt down.
Together, the result is akin to running full-tilt into a solid concrete wall, face-first. Kit slams herself temporally into an unbreachable barrier and metaphysically bounces off, fur streaked in odd patterns of grey and head ringing with a pounding un-headache in some bizarre time-skewed equivalent to a hangover. Once again, she finds herself plunging through molten clouds towards the impressionistic landscape of flame and cinder below, but now in a considerably less graceful fashion.
kitsune106 wrote: Kit comes screaming down, trying to snap open dove wings as well as wings of radiant holy magic. Kit is a priestess of sereyn and a paladin. Aka any one she can walk away from, her abjurer powers cranked up to 11 to brace herself.

Shields up as it were!!!
Aeromage wrote: Kit activates her various sets of wings, both physical and magical, trying to rely on her training as a Priest to resist the temptation to eat.
It doesn't work. It isn't enough. The hunger is consuming every other thought she might have. Her attempts to raise shields falter and fizzle as she half-glides, half-plummets groundwards, impacting a smouldering bank of soot and sending clouds of fine black powder everywhere, parts of which coalesce into soot-rabbits that frantically hop off into the surrounding flame-toned terrain, leaving glowing footprints of embers in their wake.
Kit takes minor damage from the fall.

Kit is ravenous.

The foxwoman clears the distance separating her from her prey in a moment, her speed so much greater than it that it may as well be standing still.
SNAP.
The soot-rabbit is bitten clear through the neck. Its form begins to waver and destabilise, but Kit crams the rest of its sooty body into her maw before it has a chance to crumble.
Kit gets XP for a Level 20 entity.

It's not enough. More.

Spurred purely by the all-consuming hunger, Kit launches herself in the blink of an eye across the sooty landscape towards the other fleeing soot-rabbits. SNAP. SNAP. SNAP. Three more necks are bitten through, and the dark animals consumed immediately after.
Kit gets XP for three Level 20 entities.

It's not enough. More.

Kit sprints across the cinder-strewn hills, leaving great streaks of uncovered, molten ground below open to the stifling air, flames spewing from the newly-created scars in the landscape. The foxwoman notices another flock of those black birds flying through the turbulent convection currents above, and, spurred on by her hunger, kicks off with sufficient force to reach them. A soot-powder-scattering flurry of claws and teeth later, the air where they once flew is occupied only by drifting, disintegrating soot-feathers and whirls of soot-dust as the starvation-crazed shapeshifter tears through the birds, consuming each one.

Kit gets XP for eight Level 24 entities.

It's not enough. MORE.

The flaming world around her blurs as her hunger spurs her on to find something, anything more substantial than creatures composed of soot and ashes. Fire whirls and embers flare as she charges along the banks of the white-hot molten river in her mad quest for new prey, sight muddying and fading as she desperately strikes onwards.

Kit comes to her senses halfway through a mouthful of warm, delicious meat. Each grabbed and torn handful pushes the ever-present hunger further down and away, smothering it beneath each rich, fatty gulp. It's still there, and she can tell it's going to come back as soon as she stops eating, but for now she's once again in control of herself.
The last few... however long it was that she wasn't conscious is a blank. From the looks of the surrounding area, she's come pretty far. Instead of an impressionistic landscape of flame and cinders, she is now in a bright, but somehow not blinding field of grasses and trees made of subtle variations of yellow-white and blue-white light. The plants, leaves and trees look oddly two-dimensional to her, the lack of detail on them causing their outlines to seemingly shift and expand or contract as she watches them bend and sway in the ripples of heat washing out from somewhere behind her. Directly to her right, a river flows, no longer molten-hot but still brilliant-white and tinged slightly red. Sinuous shapes flicker and waver within the flow, not outshining it, but rather coloured a peculiarly detail-free and flat greyish-silver amidst the radiant liquid's steady motion.

Kit gets 10 times the XP of a Level 35 entity.
kitsune106 wrote: Kit continues eating before she tries to ward the hunger off. She is a hero and her actions cannot be controlled by others . She focuses her will and abjuration and priest magic as well as healing to stave off the hunger and also try to feel as of she's full.
Aeromage wrote: Kit reaches down without looking to tear off another handful of warm, juicy meat, but her fingers brush against something sharp and jagged.
Kit looks down, and in doing so, sees what she's been making a meal of.

Her hand and arm, soaked up to the elbows in gore, are presently plunged into the torso of what was once a man, his red-metal armour shredded like tissue paper. Blood leaks from the hideously large holes ripped into his body, pooling on the ground between curiously-unstained blades of white-light grass, rivulets running off into the nearby river and tinging it slightly red. A set of colourful coins lie scattered around his body, in stark contrast to the pale plantlife surrounding the dead man, along with a red leather pack embossed with a sword-and-bow motif.

Kit's stomach growls.

Aeromage wrote: Kit casts the resurrection spell created through a connection to the Orb of Light, a nexus of power harkening back to the First Ascension.

Unbeknownst to her, she has just fulfilled the narrative requirements to trigger a secondary, less immediately-obvious aspect of the Orb's power.

As Morrisant forced an unwinnable battle with the First Ascendants, so too did Kit force an unwinnable battle upon Decan.
As Morrisant slaughtered every one of the First Ascendants despite their doomed best efforts in the face of a force too powerful for them to resist, so too did the curse-crazed Kit kill the comparatively doomed-due-to-level-difference Decan.
As the Ascendants were saved due to their priest's connection with the Orb of Light, so too was Decan saved by a priest calling upon the Orb of Light to intervene.
And as the Orb of Light whisked the Ascendants away to safety in a different place, far from Morrisant, providing them respite and recovery from an unpreventable loss caused by exceptional outside powers, so too does it come to pass that Decan's body, in the midst of resurrection, is engulfed in an eye-searing sphere of radiance and sent at speeds greater than Kit can comprehend beyond her grasp.

The Orb of Light being invoked in such a fashion fixes the target as more connected to the orb, but is also tied to a moment of personal development and surprise success.
Whether Kit has accidentally created a potential nemesis remains to be seen.

Apparently deciding to either look for more food, eat some monsters or try to make things more hostile for the people of Seirei(?), the foxwoman elects to wander randomly in a direction, heading away from the brilliant river and into the bright vistas of curiously two-dimensional grasses and trees of light.

Rolling fields become rolling hills as Kit speeds onward, the hot winds from before billowing and buffeting the strange plantlife and causing odd patterns and eddies of blue and yellow in the masses of white, acting as a peculiar sort of mirror to the sky above. Cresting a particularly tall rise, Kit finds the land falling away into flat plains before her. In one direction, the grasses billow and shift far more the further they spread, seeming to become flickering, wavering sheets of blue-yellow-white fire. In another, it is not the grasses but the land itself that shifts and moves, hills rising and falling as if alive, sending clouds of birds(?) scattering with each new rise. Further away, far in the distance, the grasses and trees flatten even further, losing further detail and giving way to shining white plains.

Aeromage wrote: Kit considers approaches to deal with her situation even as the hunger starts gnawing at her anew.
Kit is an Expert Abjurer, apparently. That by itself would have a very good chance of helping keep the curse contained, or at least blunting its effects somewhat. The main issue is that this seems to be a particularly unpleasant curse from something of equal-or-higher level, meaning she'd need at least some time to concentrate without distractions in order to deal with it. The problem there is the curse's nature, which seems adamant about driving Kit to hunger-fuelled insanity at every juncture. She didn't realise being that hungry could make her everything feel gnawingly empty. She would, at the very least, need a huge supply of food and to keep stuffing herself while she comes up with a method of warding herself from its effects. Unless that would actually make things worse. It might just bottle it up until it explodes in a horrible, concentrated manner that causes even more problems. Kit isn't thinking very straight right now.

In conjunction with her skill at Abjuration, she's a decent Healer, which might help slow its progression down, and her Shining Aura of Pacifism could stop her from going around trying to eat people if she could figure out some way of locking it into always being on... but that would come with its own problems.

Kit is a Paladin and a Priest. She could, theoretically, use the ascetic training and resistance of temptation those two classes bring in conjunction with her skill at Abjuration to have a better chance of warding her mind (and perhaps soul) from the effects of the curse, as it seems liable to twist her in unpleasant ways.
Alternatively, she could seek out one of the churches of Sereyn and ask them for help. They'd probably be able to do something about it. She's a follower of the faith, after all. And she's caught up with her tithes, right?

Kit reaches for more desperate solutions as the hunger grows ever more.

She's a Living Legend! Maybe she could fully tie herself to her reputation and stories, somehow, and that would probably be able to lock her into doing things in specific ways based off the legends she's spawned, which don't involve eating people! Nothing could go wrong! Probably?

Kit's an Adept at Time Magic and an Expert with Time! She could rewind-- no, she already tried that. Whatever let her into the Spirit World was too powerful to let her just jump back out, and she already used the Diadem's rewind in that fight earlier. Maybe she could constantly rewind her body without actively setting herself into suspended animation or stuck-in-backwards-mode to keep herself from getting any worse! If she could focus properly.

For a truly out-there solution, she could possibly try mining the hunger-insanity out of her as it hits, but that would be both fantastically dangerous and fantastically stupid, considering it would be the equivalent of doing brain surgery with a pickaxe.
Also, it wouldn't solve the underlying problem, just make her less likely to go on an unconscious eating-people rampage. Which would still subject her to ever-escalating levels of hunger-pain, which may end up driving her to go on a very much conscious eating-people rampage.

All in all, nothing that she can focus on for long enough to deal with it right now. Jumping back to Nexus, locking herself in her Inn Room, ordering truly staggering amounts of delivery food and calling a doctor (or a priest) for a house call is sounding like a very good idea right now.
Unfortunately, so it the idea of jumping back to Nexus, locking herself in her Inn Room, and ordering truly staggering amounts of food deliverymen to eat.
Or just jumping back to Nexus and eating everyone and everything she sees.

She should probably get out before she has another incident.

Fortunately, the Gate Magic works without issue, and the familiar temporary portal to Nexus rips into view!

Kit is now free to go. Summary to follow.

Approved as Bound. I don't see this having an effect off-world, and I don't want to deal with a mod-run-world-NPC-focused ability in combos at present.

If possessor's first action of each round would not deal HP Drain or involve the use of a Food consumable on possessor, possessor has a (10* the number of instances of Fatigued: Starvation afflicting possessor)% chance of instead performing a 'Melee Attack' action targeting a random single individual in caster's battlespace, not counting caster, with said action gaining 'deals HP Drain'; if possessor performs this replacement action, additional actions assigned to possessor during the same round automatically become 'Melee Attack' actions targeting a random single individual in caster's battlespace, not counting caster, with said action gaining 'deals HP Drain'; if possessor cannot perform these actions or does not possess the ability 'Melee Attack', any such actions that would be forced in this manner are instead skipped, with things that would occur before and after those actions still occurring; if any of possessor's actions during a round would be skipped in this manner, the remainder of possessor's actions in that round, including actions not yet assigned to possessor at the time of the skipped action, are also skipped, with things that would occur before and after those actions still occurring; if possessor performs an attack that successfully drains HP, possessor may remove an instance of Fatigued: Starvation from possessor as if coming from a Food Consumable, to a maximum of one such instance removed per attack; this ability has RP effects
