Dulcinea goes (back) to Bascaradine

Post by The Nottest of Daves »

Dulcinea, shocked at the current state of Nexian education (and Disc 101 in general), goes to see if Bascaradine is offering any mercantile training programs, or at least if they know anything about what's happening on Disc 101.

What does she currently have in terms of Merchant?

They can provide an informational brochure for 5,000 Gold, or they can provided more detailed divinations for higher amounts of money if you want specifics.

Dulcinea gets:

'Tsayikk is Back!: Survival Tips'- (Antiquity, Technology & Light, 5,000 Gold)

The pamphlet goes over who Tsayikk is, what Tsayikk generally does, and how reality has recently been horribly reformatted. It touches on the basics of several new elements and alterations to stat systems, as well as giving lists of signs to watch out for to determine that a location or individual has been infected by Tsayikk's version of reality. It also touches on various Nexus hot-spots that are currently known to be compromised, finally ending with contact hotlines to inform (or hire assistance from) Bascaradine and the Knights, as well as hotlines to contact if you are interested in being evaluated for recruitment by either organization to one of their anti-Tsayikk forces.

Let me know if you want more info along any of those avenues.

What Merchant abilities are statted that you don't have that are for sale?

Handling part of this to prevent it from backing up entirely: Bascaradine can currently provide up to 15 weeks of training over the course of a matching length of time, at a cost of 1,000,000 Gold per week, provided you have the prerequisites and are also paying the Gold cost. Alternatively, they can provide up to 5 weeks of training immediately, at the cost of 50,000,000 Gold per week, provided you have the prerequisites and are also paying the Gold cost.

On a different topic, do they happen to have anything like the Robo-Sensei for sale? Not necessarily a robot, and not necessarily covering the same training, but just in general.

Not at present. They may put something like that on offer at some point in the future, but there presently aren't any for BA members.

Dulcinea will inquire as to what they have on special discount at present, then, while continuing to read through the (surprisingly dense and well illustrated much-larger-than-it-looks-on-the-outside) brochure.

Making an update post here to note that the purchased training completes in two days (on Tuesday the 27th of July). I'll be away on vacation, so I'm leaving this note here now in case I'm too busy and forget the day of.

There's currently discounts on battle-discs, business gophers, home security systems, rot-removing rifles, and golf-clubs that snap open and become fishing rods.

Dulcinea would like a little more information on each of those, but is particularly interested in the security systems and rot-removing rifles.

~~WISE FWOM YOUW GWAVE~~

Given certain shop updates that have recently been finished, Dulcinea would like to inquire about the cost of purchasing Adept Technomancer.

She has all 15 purchasable Technomancer abilities, and is only missing
Summon Robo-Golems- (Passive Ability, Technomancer) Possessor may, when summoning a Golem, choose to give it a non-stacking buff that gives its possessor the additional element Technology and the additional subtype Robot
Requires: Technomancer, Evermason, Golomancer
Cost: 500,000 Gold, 2 Weeks
from the complete list of Technomancer abilities, because the class-name-tier ability for Golomancer doesn't actually exist in the Ability Shop.

Adept Technomancer does not exist in the shop either, but Technomancer matches the format of Scientist for its name-rank ability, so here's a potential version based off of Adept Hypertech Attunement:
Adept Technomancy Attunement- (Passive Ability, Technomancer) Technomancy spells cost possessor 10,000 less MP to cast, Technomancy spells cast by possessor that provide a Magical Attack bonus provide an additional +500 Magical Attack, Possessor gains 10 Spell slots that may not be used for purposes other than carrying spells, may only carry Technomancy Spells, and may not be converted into other types of slots by individuals below Level 100
Requires: Technomancer, 50 other Technomancer Abilities, Level 20
Cost: 5,000,000 Gold, 10 Weeks
