Aeromage wrote: Newt's description again:

He's shorter than she is and painfully skinny, wearing a frayed, torn pair of short trousers and a heavily-patched and stained canvas vest. His dark mop of hair is stuck in an overgrown, vaguely crest-like style, a few stray hairs dangling in front of those golden, slit-pupiled eyes (which, she notes, look a bit glazed). He's got oddly finned ears and lizardlike red scales around the edge of his face, as well as covering his arms and legs. His scaled hands and bare feet look a little too big for him, are oddly ridged on the palms and fingers (and, she guesses, probably the soles and toes) and have short, sharp-looking black claws. She guesses he's in his mid to late teens. Maybe fifteen? Seventeen?
He also smells... weird. Not bad-weird, but odd. She's getting a little lightheaded from it.

The lizard-boy hungrily eyes the offered platter piled high with food and opens his mouth. A long, long tongue lashes out, lands squarely on a large chunk of meat, and almost just as quickly shoots back in with the food stuck to it. The thief commences chewing in a somewhat awkward, messy fashion.
His eyes wander as he chews, taking in the huge piles of treasures and gear stacked about Celiria's room, lingering on the more expensive-looking examples. He then takes the quill and paper and, in sloppy, scratchy letters, begins to write, still chewing.

"wherr ar we?"
"wat ar you?"
"wat is the batle areena?"

He pauses for a moment, quill hovering as he swallows.

"im imortal? Stronger how?"

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria grins.
"You're in my NExus Arena room, in nexus. Where I store my stuff and loot."

"AS to what I am.. that's hard. I was a dragon shifter, but I changed. Now mostly dragon. I am a battel arena member, so I am techicnally immortal, kinda. The battle arena is the realm of lord gadigan, who from what i understand is the suprememe ruler. We battle arena members, in return for amusing him, and giving up our old powers, basically have immortality, and have a limited form of being able to affect lasting change."

she giggles at the last one.
"Kinda immortal. As long as you dont' get stolen or destroyed , as long as I am alive, you'll reform in the clerical ward. IT's what saved you when I err.. messed up in maerefore. And stronger, well, as you are special, I can... well..." she frowns. "I can empower you with items , let you absorb their essence to get stronger. IT's technical."

she casts:
Mystic Treatment: Unbreakable- (Spell, Artifice, Magic, 50 MP, 100,000 Gold) Gives target possession the permanent Mystic Treatment Unbreakable, costs 200 XP, and the item’s value in Gold

on him then,
and a hunk of 15,000,000 gold.. most liely bar forms, vanish as he can feel the power flow into him.
"There we go. You can't be stolen or destroyed easily."

Unbreakable- This item cannot be Broken or destroyed except by the most exceptional measures, This treatment does not prevent pets or summons it is applied to from being killed, This item cannot be stolen outside of Official Quests and Player Quests, This does not count as a Mystic Treatment for number of Mystic Treatments that can be applied to this item if this item is unique, Affects any type of possession, Mystic Treatment

Aeromage wrote: Newt blinks in surprise as Celiria casts the Mystic Treatment on him, and begins patting himself over as if checking for wounds.

"feels weerd. Feels warm."

Newt's tongue shoots out and grabs another piece of food as the lizard-boy continues to scribble.

"wherr is Nexus? On the maneland? In the spirrit wurld?"

Newt (and his doll form) now have Unbreakable.

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"IT's... on another world. On Neuxs.. hard to explain. You'll see."

Seh frowns.
"Soo.. what do you want to do? What if it you want to become?"
she asks, sitting down on the bed and tossing
a spell to him.
Ki Throw- (Spell, Combat Arts, Energy & Physical, 80 MP, 210,000 Gold) +200 Magical Attack, 60% inflicts Fatigued: Stun, deals 1/2 damage

She's idly doing it, not really thinking as she thinks.
she is trying to see if he can absorb that.

Aeromage wrote: Newt looks confused at the concept of another world past Seirei and the Spirit World.

"I wanted to be a rilly good theef. Then I wood be rich and not poor and cood have food and a howse and treshure."
He seems equally confused by the spell, and somewhat alarmed as the thing shatters in his hands, frantically scrabbling to try and put it back together and slurring apologies that get tangled up in his tongue.

The Spell breaks. It looks like ki powers aren't in his wheelhouse at present.

kitsune106 wrote: celiria frowns then waves.
"I see.. I can help you with thief stuff. Don't worry, shows that spell isn't for you. I 'll have to get thief stuff here. Well, you have food here.. home.. and well, treasure..."

Aeromage wrote: Newt still looks concerned about the broken spell.
He looks around at the piles of items again as Celiria mentions 'treasure'. The sheer amount of stuff looks to be overwhelming him a bit.

kitsune106 wrote: "Don't worry about it. Teh spellw as ot see if it coudl power you up. I'll.. ahve ot see about getting you trained in spiritual arts.'

she grins as he watche shim look around.

she tosses him:
Cool Sunglasses- (Accessory, Eyewear, Technology, 200 Gold) +2 STR
w/
Touch of Lightning- The item possessing this effect becomes solely electrical element, Quest Enchantment

"here, try these on.. lets see if it makes you look cooler."

Aeromage wrote: Newt puts the sunglasses on, switching between looking through them and looking over their rims to compare. They do indeed look cool. Contrasted against the shabby torn, stained and frayed clothes, however, they look rather out of place.

kitsune106 wrote: she frowns.
"Give me a bit..."
she finds something and tosses it him.

"Try these on."
Cool Reef-Pants- (Armorx.5, Heavy Armor, Water & Ice, 30,000,000 Gold) +30,000 Defense, +30,000 CON, Wearer regenerates 300,000 HP at the start of each round that wearer is in a Zone of Water, 60% inflicts Frozen or Impaired: Blind

she tries to see if he can absorb those.
she also toses him the follwoing, seeing if he can aborb them:

Burning Mischief- (Spell, Spirit Magic, Fire, 80 MP, 80,000 Gold) +80 Magical Attack, 20% inflicts Burning, 15% inflicts Confusion

she frowns. "I really need to get into contact with some others to see what else you'll like. Anyway... if I do manage to help get that thing on you off, the spell, will you promise not to steal from me?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt attempts to put the pants on, but they break as soon as Celiria triggers the absorb. It looks like heavy armour isn't the sort of thing that works for him.
The spell, on the other hand, gets spat out, although it looks like a close thing. Not yet, maybe?

Newt picks up the paper and quill again.
"You ar my Master. I wont steel from my Master. I want to serve my Master. Dont take the seel of."

kitsune106 wrote: she frowns.
"Sugar.. need to go find better pants then.... anyway... hmmm.. interesting."

"master.. not.." she blinks. "ACtaully, master works.." hshutting down the thoughts.
"Anyway, any other questions? And.. did you ork alone or with a group?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt snags another piece of food and sets quill to paper again.
"I was in a gang of theefs called the Marefore Misfits. We stoll things from the rich merchants and gave them to Mister Wellard and Miss Ann to sell so we cood buy food and gear and stuff. I was rilly good at stealing from the top floor treshure rooms and better than Venn becos I can walk up walls and he has to jump. And he shos of too much."

kitsune106 wrote: she frowns.
"Who is mister Wellard and Mis Ann?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt chews messily, quill scratching over the page.
"mister wellard is the boss of the Misfits. He makes the plans and tells us wat to do so we can steel valluble stuff. Exept he isn't my boss any more becos your my Master now. He does Magic trix down on the doks and has one wherr he stabs himself but he dossent get hurt but the crowd dossent know he can make someone else get hurt insted so they get distrakted and other Misfits can pik pockets and steel from shops easy.
Miss Ann is a human but she dossent care if your Aptim so shes rilly nice and smart. She finds who to steel from and who to sell stuff too and finds more Aptim kids who shood join the gang."

The quill pauses for a moment.

"I hope they arent ded. "

kitsune106 wrote: celiria frowns.
"well.. i friend went down there. I.. suppose.. i coudl ... no.. tha touwld not work.. i could if you coudl tell me where next itme.. send her down to bring them back, maybe.. she can revive... I.. well.. we'll deal with that.." she sighs.

celiria's eyes ligth up.
"Oh.. if you can find other .. aptim.. well, I could offer them a place here, or safety. I take it aptim are lower class? You must undrestand, my world is different from yours, and different from nexus too."

Aeromage wrote: Newt swallows.
"Aptim ar half-Spirits. Spirits ar bad and dangerus witch is why the Tamers ar important to stop them hurting peeple and control them. Peeple say Aptim ar bad and dangerus too becos they ar half Spirit becos they came from peeple that didnt lissen and worked with spirits so they got cursed. So we are cursed to and hav to keep away from proper humans and Dirim. But we cant liv all by ourselfs becos we might start doing bad things again. So we hav to live in towns but cant work like proper humans do. Some of us get taken to be traned by Tamers. Some of us just work on the streets. Some of us becom theeves becos you get more money and stuff that way and can be happy."
The lizard-boy pauses.
"I think that lots of Aptim wood be happy to work for you Master and beeing imortal and getting lots of treshure woodnt hurt."

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria frowns and reaches out with her paladin powers to see if he is indeed cursed.
"Let me see. I am a paladin, so I can tell if truely cursed... and that life.. soudns bad. I suppose I could get with some others to set upa village/haven for aptim..."

Aeromage wrote: Celiria doesn't detect any curses or untoward effects on him (aside, obviously, from the foreign influence of the Seal of Slavish Surety, depending on her view of things). The tongue-thing would probably be considered a curse were he a BA Member, but it's obviously part of who and what he is. He's just half-spirit and has an obvious spiritual ancestry. Perhaps it's a cultural thing.

"I think if they got helped by you Master they wood be happy."

"I see... well, we'll see when i get back. Will need ot buy some land."
she shrugs.

"you remind me abit of myself. I was able ot let spirits into me to improve myself. Anyway, we'll see what we can do to help."

Aeromage wrote: Newt looks extremely happy at the comparison, snaking his tongue out to grab the last bit of the charge from the Big Feast Platter he's been working through.
"Thank you Master."

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"Not an issue. IF you need anyhting let me know. So, any other questions?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt thinks for a moment.
"You asked me wat I wanted to becom. Wat do you want me to becom?"

kitsune106 wrote: "A true companion. Someone to be at my side through thick and thin. Someone to be a friend and traveler with me."

Aeromage wrote: The lizard-boy nods.
"I will be with you for as long as you say so. I will never betray my Master."

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"good."

There's a knock on the door. Celria goes to open it and is handed a few items by a large hammer wielding giant. She nods and closes the door.
"Ahhh, good, items for you have arrived from Kit."

she tries to see if he can absorb the following:

from kit:
Mimmorico- (Weapon, Other: Chaos Talon, Illusion, 50,000,000 Gold) This weapon, at the start of a thread, copies a non-unique weapon with a listed cost that is under 50,000,000 that is in stock in the Shop and becomes that weapon for the remainder of the thread

Paralyze Other - (Spell, Wizard Spell, Earth, 50 MP, 3,000 Gold) 55% Inflicts Paralysis
from catrice:
Glimmer of Heroism- (Item, Material, Light, 60,000 Gold)

Aeromage wrote: Celiria buries Newt under a flurry of gear and stands back until the glowing finishes.

The Mimmorico, Goldwing Pin, Greatly-Augmented Hidden Muscles, Paralyse Other and Glimmer of Heroism break.
The Robe of the Fire Rat and Beautiful Illusion (barely) get spat back out instead of breaking.

When the glowing finishes, Newt is wearing the Shadowslayer's Longcoat over his stained and frayed clothes, with the knife tucked into his belt and a ring on one finger.

Newt gets:

Loot the Building- 5,000 Damage, user has a percent chance equal to (Possessor's Level - Target's Level) of stealing an amount of gold equal to half the amount of damage dealt, to a maximum of 750,000 gold, with gold gained in this fashion not being able to exceed the amount of gold held by the target or (gold dropped by the target if the target is normally fightable for drops on the enemy list, with the gold dropped by said target being reduced by an amount equal to the gold gained through this attack), user has a separate percent chance equal to (Possessor's Level - Target's Level) of stealing a random item from said target (if a PC) or from target's list of drops if said target would normally be able to provide drops and is normally fightable for drops on the enemy list (with such targets successfully stolen from no longer dropping anything upon defeat), only affects Large Structures, Physical, 20,000 MP

kitsune106 wrote: celiria claps her hands.
"Whoah, yu look better. How do you feel newt?"

Suddenly from part of the treasure pile rises a silvery dragon head adn rumbles at celiria. She giggles. "Oh, hi silver." she tells the silver gilded dragon(2) pet. "Don't worry, this is Newt. " the dragon hisses something out. "Oh, don't worry, he won't steal. He's a quest here at the moment."

There's a rumble from teh dragon.
"Well.... if oyu want him to polish the scales, you'll have to ask him.... not me...."

Aeromage wrote: Newt raises his arms and swivels on the spot, appraising the coat's weight and look. He seems to be rather happy with his new article of clothing, and appears to be about to reach for the quill and paper when the silver dragon's head bursts from a pile of various treasures, sending him leaping backwards, arms windmilling.

The lizard-boy views Celiria and the dragon's exchange with concern. He looks like he's expecting the silver creature to explode at any moment.

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria blinks. "What.... she won't bite.. wil you girl." she scritches teh dragon.

She turns back to newt. "So.. anything to say?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt, not taking his eyes off the dragon, and carefully attempting to put quill to paper scratches out some more lines in rather-worse handwriting.
"I no how to do morr stuff. Wat happend?"
"Is it gowing to ecksplode?"

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria facepalms when she eads the second one.
"no.. she wont' explode.. that. was my fault. i pushed myself..."

she frowns. "And yes.. you do know. absorbs for peopel with a special mana pattern like oyu, well, absorbs grant you more power. "

Aeromage wrote: Newt still doesn't seem keen on getting close to the dragon, but he stops looking at it like a ticking timebomb.
"Wat stuff can I absorb? Wat else can I lern?"

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria frowns.
"At the moment.. seems things related to spirits, and thievery, adn generic stuff. That's why I was askign abotu what you wanted to be and what you can do. Your mana pattern can only abosrb things related to itself, usually. so the more i know what you can do, or can becomes, the more i can, well, power you up."

Aeromage wrote: Newt ponders this.
"I can steel stuff and sneek arowd. I can walk up walls and seelings, witch is why I dont werr gloves or shoos."
He demonstrates by going to a wall and begins climbing the sheer surface with no apparent difficulty, his oddly-ridgy hands and soles sticking to it as if covered in glue. The lizard-boy jumps back down and picks up the paper and quill again.
"I can hurt things with my claws and make peeple drugged by tuching them or likking them. Sometimes peeple payed me to do that. They liked it."
Newt scratches his head with the quill.
"My tung can strech rilly far and I can pik things up with it or tie peeple up with it. Im pritty fast. Im sort of a lizzard?"
He shrugs.
"I cant think of enything els. I gess I have a nife now and no how to steel better from billdings. And I have sum better geer."

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"You're also part spirit, so teachign you spirit magic things would help too.
she frowns. "Was there anything you aspired to do? beyond theievery? Hmmm.. maybe banking, or dread banking?"

Aeromage wrote: The lizard-boy scribbles out a reply.
"I only no how to steel stuff. I didnt have time too lern about enything els. Sum of the Misfits cood do magic but I coodnt figgur owt how too. I dont no about banking. Mister wellard said they werr just theeves with fanseer clothes enyway."

kitsune106 wrote: Celiria smiles.
"we have dread banking here. But that would cost me..... do you wish to learn magic?"

Aeromage wrote: "If lerning magic wood make me morr useful to you Master i will do it." Newt pauses for a moment. "But I dont no how good i will be at lerning it. I only no therrs diffrent kinds of magic and spirrit magic but not how to do them."

"true.. we'll need to determine things. "

"Sorry for allt he questions. I just need to know where ot focus right now."

Aeromage wrote: Newt looks rather unhappy at that.
"sorry im not beeing very helpfull Master. i dont know much abowt magic. i didnt go to scool or temple to heer about them. alltho i probly woodnt be allowed in temples enyway."

kitsune106 wrote: she chuckles. "Don't worry. WE have temples here.. and classes. Was there anything you wanted to do? Like learn tofly? speak? or te like? I suppose I coudl get someone to teach you or ffind a way to ..." seh frowns. "WEll, speak without physcially speaking."

Aeromage wrote: "im pritty bad at speeking becos of my tung so beeing able to speek proply wood be good. i dont no how to speek withowt speeking?"
The lizard-boy ponders for a while.
"flying wood be fun but im not a dragon and dont have wings and they wood get in the way of sneeking and climing. lerning how to do magic wood probly be good tho."

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"I see.. we can do that. But can we figure out what branch of it.. and yes.. there are branches of magic. tell me, what kind of magic do you want? Be honest.. doesnt' matter how crazy it sounds... it migth exisit."

Aeromage wrote: More frowning occurs as Newt considers options.
"i dont no about magic but magic that is good at steeling stuff or sneeky stuff wood be usefull. maybe magic that i can do to make me get around easier or hurt things easier? spirrit magic? maybe stuff that makes my drug likk and tuch better? is therr lizzard magic? i might be able to lern that?"
He seems to be a bit confused due to his lack of knowledge and Celiria's open-ended offer.

kitsune106 wrote: she frowns.
"CLosest to lizard would be either druidic or dragon magic. Spirit magic is a thing here. We have theif arts, as well as.. hmmm... alechmy would make your drugs better... I think.."

Aeromage wrote: "i probly will be abel to lern theef arts. is that wat made me lern how too loot billdings better? i mite be able to lern spirrit magic if its the right kind of spirrit magic. i dont no abowt the others. ive never dun magic beforr. maybe i can lern them?"
Newt still looks a bit confused. Magical knowledge evidently isn't his field.

kitsune106 wrote: she nods.
"See, you're learning. yes, it was thief arts you got hte loot building from."

she frowns as she htinks some more.
"What weapons are you comfortable with?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt thinks some more.
"i only ever used nifes becos i coodnt get enything els and theyre easy too use and hide. im okay at throing them. i can use my tung like a whip too if i need too. i havent tried other weppons. maybe i cood use stuff theeves heer use?"

Aeromage wrote: Newt leafs through the pages of scrawlings and pulls out an earlier one to show Celiria.

Sum of us get taken to be traned by Tamers. Sum of us just work on the streets. Some of us becom theeves becos you get more money and stuff that way and can be happy."

He scribbles more notes at the bottom.
"Sum Aptim look morr like humans, and sum look morr like Spirits. Peeple dont like it wenn you look like a Spirit. I think we all have diffrent powers or magic depending on wat Spirits they had in therr family. Sum are morr powerful than others. Sum don't have very strong powers. Like me."
Newt dips the quill into the inkpot and keeps scratching.
"The morr powerful Aptim get taken by the Tamers to join therr perrsonal gards. Or they join the Spirit Hunters. Or run away and becom theeves. Or things like that."

"I dont no how many merchants or saleors or Aptim wood be there if the town ecksploded tho."

Aeromage wrote: "i dont no if they will want too leave becos they probly only no abowt living in Marefore. You will probly need to connvins them Master but i no you can do it."
Newt frowns as he thinks over Celiria's offer.
"ive never been owt of Marefore becos thats werr ive been living all my life and i coodnt leev withowt eny muny and then i joined the Misfits. i herd stories abowt other towns and places tho. id like to see lots of diffrent things."

Celiria then promptly crams Newt full of more things to absorb!

Create Food (Lesser) breaks, much to Newt's dismay. It looks like he's going to need more than just a straight-absorb to start learning that sort of magic.

The Armband of Purity is spat back out.

The Hint of True Progress breaks.
Detect Monsters breaks.

Detect Traps and both Throw Caltrops spells absorb without a hitch, however.

Newt gains:

Detect Traps- Caster and up to 5 targets gain +500 Defense against Traps, has RP effects, stacks 5 times, Air, 70 MP
Throw Caltrops- Does 15,000 flat Physical element Damage and 200 AGI Damage to any enemies that attack caster's side of battle on the next turn, with individuals damaged by this effect having a 15% chance of being afflicted by Wounded: Bleeding, Physical, 2,000 MP

It looks like Detect Traps has done something a little weird in that Newt's got a Thief Arts-style version of it instead of a Divination version. It should work about the same, it just seems less overtly-magical.

Aeromage wrote: Newt commences doodling with the quill and paper. The resultant map of Marefore isn't exactly pretty, but it does seem to map out the winding maze that is the bazaar pretty well (with various notes pointing out rich merchants and the best places to steal from). Parts of the map are much more vague- presumably the lizard-boy didn't spend much time in those areas, or couldn't go there.
He then sets to work scrawling out a list of names. 'Mister Wellard' and 'Miss Ann' are prominent, along with the 'Venn' person he mentioned before, an entry that states 'Rakk and Rowan', 'Miss Maria', and then a list of poorly-spelled single names and, in some cases, just descriptions.

Celiria gets:

Partial Map of Marefore (Focused on Bazaar, Docks and Aptim District) Drawn by Newt- (Item, Antiquity, Water & Physical, 100 Gold)
Newt's List of Marefore Misfits Members- (Item, Quest Item, Darkness & Physical, 100 Gold)

Aeromage wrote: As the remnants of the shattered items clatter to the floor around the lizard-boy, the rest of the hovering mass converges upon him as a swarm.

The Endless Pouch of Thorn Darts disassembles and flows into Newt's pockets. His Caltrops are empowered, some of them becoming clusters of thorns.

Throw Caltrops- Does 15,000 flat Physical or Earth or Physical & Earth element Damage and 200 AGI Damage to any enemies that attack caster's side of battle on the next turn, with individuals damaged by this effect having a 15% chance of being afflicted by Wounded: Bleeding and a 30% chance of being afflicted by Pain, 1% inflicts 2 hits against 1, this ability counts as involving a Thief Arts spell, Physical or Earth or Physical & Earth, 7,000 MP

The strange flaming dagger long enough to be a shortsword shoots to Newt's belt, taking position next to his other knife.
He gains an Indexed Ability:
Flaming Dagger- 5,000 Damage, deals an additional 20,000 Fire Damage on hit, 30% Inflicts Burning, this attack counts as involving a Knife and possesses a minimum Critical Chance of 30%, Fire, 0 MP

Unpleasant, wind-bladed throwing knives shatter into their constituent mana and take their place at Newt's belt, which reforms itself into a thicker, hardier leather affair with sheathes for his growing collection.
He gains an Indexed Ability:
Throwing Knives of the Sourge-Wind- 10,000 Damage, 60% Inflicts Pain, this attack counts as involving a Throwing Weapon, possesses a minimum Critical Chance of 20% and a minumum To Hit of 120%, Air & Physical, 0 MP

The Bag of Holding puffs into mana and coalesces onto his belt on his other side.
He gains an Indexed Effect:
Carries a Bag of Holding- Possessor may carry up to 30 items, with possessor's controller being able to assign up to this number of items as being carried by possessor at the start of the thread, possessor may spend its turn and a willing target's turn to swap one of its items with an item held by target, Indexed Effect

The Chevron-Lizard-Gradiant Top Hat vanishes with an orange-and-black puff and reappears on Newt's head. Then the aggressive properties of the disc it came from came to the fore, combining with the power of the 20-levels-higher-than-Newt Chevron Lizard to momentarily overwhelm the lizard-boy. The hat melts into a puddle of mana that covers Newt's head, vaguely congealing into the form of an orange-chevron-backed black lizard as it does so. Newt's ability as a thief and Arena Member's companion allows him to equip the hat. The hat-mana's Lizard-quality, combined with the psychedelic quality of the creature it dropped from and the aggressively forward nature of the disc it came from combine, hops a ride using Newt's psychedelic-drug-theme and lizard-ness, and forcibly inserts itself into his lizard-spirit ancestry.
Newt now has a Chevron Lizard as part of his Lizard-Spirit Heritage. His black hair now sports a distinctive orange-chevron pattern.
No other obvious effects take place at this time.

The Eye of the Third Wind dissolves into mana. Newt's Dodge becomes 23%.

The Medallion of Success vanishes in a flash and reappears around Newt's neck.
Newt gets:
Wearing a Medallion of Success- Possessor gains +150 to all stats, with bonuses from this effect ignoring caps, possessor's actions and effects that steal gold and items have a 10% greater chance of succeeding, possessor's actions have a 10% lower chance of failing (except for actions that fail due to Possessor's 'Bezar's Seal of Slavish Surety (Second Tier)' Constant Effect), Indexed Effect

The Seal of Senses dissolves into mana. Newt's Dodge becomes 24%. He gains 5% Impaired: Blind Resistance and 5% Impaired: Deaf Resistance.

The Syndicate Coin-Purse puffs into mana and coalesces onto his belt next to his Bag of Holding.
Newt gains:
Carries a Syndicate Coin-Purse- Possessor may carry up to 175,000,000 Gold, with possessor's controller being able to assign up to this amount of gold as being carried by possessor at the start of the thread, Whenever wielder is about to be dealt Gold Damage or Gold Drain by a source below Level 60, wearer may, before said Damage or Drain is dealt, trade up to 175,000,000 Gold to a willing ally, Indexed Effect

The Blur potion smudges into nothingness. Newt's belt gains a holster.
Newt gains as an Indexed Ability:
Blur Potion- +3% Dodge, this ability counts as involving a Potion, stacks 4 times, Magic, 650 MP

The Gas Grenade erupts into smoke. The mana hangs around, waiting for something later in the absorb-pile.

The Gatestone to Nexus vanishes. Newt's belt gains another holster.
Newt gains another Indexed Ability:
Gatestone to Nexus- User exits the current thread, as an RP effect this ability teleports its user to Nexus, may only be used once per thread, Magic, 500 MP

Swift Strike vanishes. Bizarrely, the spell's mana floods not to Newt's collection of daggers, but to his mouth. The lizard-boy's long tongue, already quick, blurs out of his mouth faster than Celiria can blink. The dragoon gets the distinct impression this isn't going to help his speech impediment any.
A Constant Effect changes:
Crippling Speech Impediment Due To Overly-Long and Swift Lizard Tongue- Possessor is afflicted with an instance of Impaired: Mute: Debilitating Verbal Tic at the start of each round as an effect that ignores possessor's resistances and immunities, possessor may declare at the start of a round that the first action it makes this round must be an action that includes the words 'Tongue' or 'Lick', if its possessor does so, its possessor gains +2,000 to possessor's turn-order-determining stat total for turn-order-determining purposes this round and must perform such an action as possessor's first action, with possessor having to forfeit any actions which are not such action unless a non-allied source is controlling said actions or any source other than this spell's possessor is forcing said actions to specifically occur, Constant Effect

The Promptness infuses Newt. His Agility increases by +500.

Assassin's Throw I dissolves and infuses the Throwing Knives at Newt's belt. An Indexed Ability changes slightly:
Throwing Knives of the Sourge-Wind- 10,050 Damage, 60% Inflicts Pain, this attack counts as involving a Throwing Weapon, possesses a minimum Critical Chance of 20% and a minumum To Hit of 120%, Air & Physical, 0 MP

Backstab dissolves into a cloud of mana. It hangs around, waiting for a later item in the absorb-chain.

Bury Alive dissolves into a cloud of mana and infuses Newt.
He gains:
Dig Pit Trap- Creates a Pit Trap assigned to a target on caster's side of battle that has a 20% chance of inflicting Entombed on the next enemy that targets said target with an offensive action, this action may count as involving a Thief Arts spell, Earth, 250 MP

Pick Pocket and Pilfer both dissolving into clouds of mana and hang around waiting for a later absorb.

Steal HP dissolves into mana and infuses Newt.
He gains:
Steal HP- 5,000 Damage, Heals user for 1/5 damage dealt, this ability counts as involving a Thief Arts spell, Darkness, 6,000 MP

Stealthy Stab dissolves into mana and joins the Backstab-cloud.

Smoke Bomb puffs into mana, joins the Gas Grenade cloud and coalesces into another new pouch on Newt's belt.
He gets:
Acrid Smoke Bomb- 10,000 Flat Acid & Air damage, 10% inflicts Impaired: Blind, 10% inflicts Suffocation, 10% inflicts Poison, 2% inflicts Dissolving, all actions and turns taken by foes are wiped from the record in relation to this ability’s user, this ability counts as involving a Thief Arts spell, 1 hit against 5, Acid & Air, 500 MP

Swiftly Pick Pocket joins the cloud containing Pick Pocket and Pilfer. An ability changes:
Sticky Fingers- Possessor's actions and effects that steal Gold steal 10% more, possessor's actions and effects that steal Gold and items have a 10% greater chance of succeeding, possessor's actions and effects that steal Gold and items have a 30% greater chance of succeeding against targets less than or equal to (Possessor's Level +5) that also have a lower Agility than possessor, Constant Effect

Ninja Jump's mana gets sucked into Newt. Nothing obvious happens, but Celiria thinks this may have made it easier for him to learn ninja techniques.

Ninja Stab, Stealthy Stab I and Backstab all flow into the lizard-boy.
He gains:
Backstab- Possessor's attacks deal an additional 8,000 damage against targets who have not yet acted, Constant Effect

Shuriken Cloud, Shuriken Cloud (Minor) and Shuriken Cloud (Serrated) all coalesce into a clattering, jagged mana-puff, waiting for a later absorb.

Shadow Knife and Surprise Kunai mix together. A dagger made of pure shadow flickers into view in Newt's hand.
He gets:
Shadow Knife- 4,500 Damage, this attack deals an additional 4,500 damage if its target has not acted yet, this attack deals solely Darkness element damage, Darkness, 400 MP

The glow fades, revealing Newt once again. He's looking a bit dazed.

He still looks much as he did: Somewhere in his mid-late teens, shorter than Celiria and painfully skinny, wearing a frayed, torn pair of short trousers and a heavily-patched and stained canvas vest. He's wearing a long, dark coat over that, a golden medallion around his neck and a thick leather belt loaded with pouches and knife holsters, an expensive-looking coin purse and an unobstrusive bag tucked away under the coat on his other side. His dark mop of hair (with a distinctive bright orange chevron pattern) is stuck in an overgrown, vaguely crest-like style, a few stray hairs dangling in front of those somewhat-glazed golden, slit-pupiled eyes. He's got oddly finned ears and lizardlike red scales around the edge of his face, as well as covering his arms and legs, which, she notes, look to have deepened in hue since she first picked him up. His scaled hands and bare feet look a little too big for him, are oddly rough and ridged on the palms and fingers (and, she guesses, probably the soles and toes) and have short, sharp-looking black claws.
His weird smell's gotten stronger. Something like a medicine shop mixed vaguely with other things Celiria can't identify. It's really not bad at all, though. In fact, she's getting a great buzz from it.

He writes a few words, scribbles them out, and huffs in frustration. He then looks confused, makes the huffing noise again, rolls his jaw in a chewing motion and then starts a new page.
"i think my tung got longer?? i shood be abel to hit things ferther away now? and hit mor things at ons. and i think my grip got beter. i think i can run up walls and upside down on ceelings now. i wood have fallen off if i did that befor."

The lizard-boy pauses again, looks slightly embarrassed, raises an arm and sniffs tentatively.
"i think my druggs got beter too and now i can do mor things with them and be mor helpful to you. i cant stop making them tho. sorry if i smell weerd becos of that Master."
"i wood never hav becom this strong without you. Now i can be at your side without worriying abowt leting you down so i can be a proper travling companyon. thank you so much Master."

Still looking a little dazed from the aftermath, Newt gives Celiria a wide smile. It appears the lizard-boy has rather a lot of short, sharp teeth.

A Constant Effect changes as the First Fire and Call items supercharge his Salamander-side! He doesn't quite get the full benefit of them at present, not having enough power within him to do so.

Salamander-Spirit Heritage- Possessor regenerates # HP at the start of each round, possessor gains +# HP, +#% Dodge, +# Defense against Burning, #% Fire Resistance, #% Wounded Resistance, #% Burning Resistance, and may have a #% chance of recovering from each instance of Impaired (but not Impaired: Debilitating Verbal Tic), Wounded and Burning on possessor at the start of each round; if a source of equal or lower level (to a maximum of Level 60) would deal possessor Fire element Damage, said Damage (including Stat Damage or Defense Damage) is converted into healing, possessor may spend an action to make possessor's next action (with the exception of 'Shadow Knife' and abilities that count as involving a Weapon) become solely Fire element, possessor's actions ignore the Fire Immunity, Resistance, Reflection and Absorption of individuals of equal or lower level (to a maximum of Level 60), Constant Effect

The Spirit Magic spell hooks up with Newt's newfound Salamander-Spirit side, manifesting as the power to cast Spirit Magic! At least in a limited, focused capacity.
He gets:

Burning Mischief- # Damage, #% inflicts Burning, #% inflicts Confusion, this action counts as involving Spirit Magic, Fire, # MP

Aeromage wrote: Assuming he wasn't removed permanently and nothing else weird has happened, Newt:

On the one (hah) hand, she's down a weapon slot. On the other, she's getting a far-less-bad ageing effect than she would get if she hadn't separated the teapot from the rest of her. Her hand's still maintaining the connection enough to cause problems, though. This has been added to the Marefore-quest thread summary.

Awaiting Gad look-over and approval.
