For Goodness Tsayikk, These Stats

Bascaradine is descended upon by Cael, Caelum, Volatilis and Rosaline! They have questions. Questions about universal mechanics that Bascaradine probably has a vested interest in.
If an entity would take Stat Damage to a stat it does not possess, it may instead take five times that amount (with caps not applying to this multiplier) to its lowest stat that it actually possesses. This extra, uncapped stat damage may not be converted to any other type of stat damage by anything that does not specifically convert uncapped stat damage resultant from stat damage having been dealt to a stat it does not possess.
This is, clearly, unacceptable. The gang all want to spring for the (oddly misspelled) Tsayikkproofing abilities Bascaradine have been selling previously.

Rosaline and Volatilis (buying for its Yeti-skillset) want to get:

Bascaradine Tsayyikproofing- (Passive Ability, Roboticist) Possessor may use CON in place of SAN, INF, and RES and may choose to take CON Damage instead of SAN Damage, INF Damage, or RES Damage

Cael and Caelum want to get:

Bascaradine Soulsculpture-Variant Tsayyikproofing- (Passive Ability, Controller) Possessor may use SPI in place of SAN, INF, and RES and may choose to take SPI Damage instead of SAN Damage, INF Damage, or RES Damage

There's a further sticking point there, however- if something were to attack more than one of SAN, INF and/or RES, even with the Tsayikkproofing they'd still be hit multiple times on the same stat, which is something of a problem. They'd like something to mitigate that.

Finally, the problem further increases due to the lack of clarity about what happens if one were to gain a debuff to a stat one doesn't possess. Ideally, it wouldn't do anything. Otherwise, that's a sure shot to being instantly killed by even the most minor debuff thrown their way, which is a Very Big Problem. (And likely a quick route to some very short and boring fights in the Arena against very powerful monsters)
If that is the case, they'd like to get something that can mitigate that, too.

Do we know where those came from before and how much they cost at that time? If they're lost into the abyss, don't go digging too hard and I'll just process it.

I know they came from CAIN-prep threads, but I don't know off-hand exactly which ones. Let me do a bit of digging.

It had stacking price increases happening, Darston bought it for 375,000,000, which was 25% more than whatever the last person who had purchased it bought it for, and I'm not sure who that was or whether they had had a price increase on it before that point.

Prepthread Darston

Alright.

There's a surge of demand. That would normally boost prices.

Bascaradine somewhat dislikes Tsayikk in particular, though, and he's now being an active threat (and others aren't competing against a Bascardine team in a big event), so the price will hold.

375,000,000 each.

They'll purchase the abilities! Total: 1,500,000,000 Gold, with Volatilis footing the bill.

Is there anything available to address the latter part of their concerns?

With Tsayikk currently waxing, this is not presently available despite their desires to provide it.

A new ruling has been made on this, applying it to all stats instead of making it an instant loss.

Is anything still required here?

If they've got any debuff-prevention or countermeasure abilities, the gang will be interested in seeing those (at present, there's no real defense against debuffs besides 'remove after the fact with rare spells or items').

Otherwise, looks like that's it!

Ablative Self-Screen- (Passive Ability, Abjurer) Up to 20 times per thread when possessor would acquire a debuff that reduces possessor's stats, possessor may choose for that instance of the debuff to reduce the amount it reduces each of possessor's by by 500, to a minimum of 0

For 20,000,000

I think there might have been a word missing, so potential edit:
Ablative Self-Screen- (Passive Ability, Abjurer) Up to 20 times per thread when possessor would acquire a debuff that reduces possessor's stats, possessor may choose for that instance of the debuff to reduce the amount it reduces each of possessor's stats by 500, to a minimum of 0
Either way, that's incredibly useful. Each of the gang buys it, Volatilis gets it for its main skillset too, and Tolva and the Doctor pop in upon hearing of it to snag a copy for themselves.

And that's it!

Volatilis loses 1,540,000,000 Gold.
Everyone else loses 20,000,000 Gold.

Tolva, the Doctor and Volatilis' primary skillset gets:

Ablative Self-Screen- (Passive Ability, Abjurer) Up to 20 times per thread when possessor would acquire a debuff that reduces possessor's stats, possessor may choose for that instance of the debuff to reduce the amount it reduces each of possessor's by by 500, to a minimum of 0

Cael and Caelum get:

Ablative Self-Screen- (Passive Ability, Abjurer) Up to 20 times per thread when possessor would acquire a debuff that reduces possessor's stats, possessor may choose for that instance of the debuff to reduce the amount it reduces each of possessor's by by 500, to a minimum of 0

Bascaradine Soulsculpture-Variant Tsayyikproofing- (Passive Ability, Controller) Possessor may use SPI in place of SAN, INF, and RES and may choose to take SPI Damage instead of SAN Damage, INF Damage, or RES Damage

Rosaline and Volatilis' Yeti-skillset get:

Ablative Self-Screen- (Passive Ability, Abjurer) Up to 20 times per thread when possessor would acquire a debuff that reduces possessor's stats, possessor may choose for that instance of the debuff to reduce the amount it reduces each of possessor's by by 500, to a minimum of 0

Bascaradine Tsayyikproofing- (Passive Ability, Roboticist) Possessor may use CON in place of SAN, INF, and RES and may choose to take CON Damage instead of SAN Damage, INF Damage, or RES Damage

After further review, I think my original text was, in fact, fine. It reduced the amount they reduced the stats by, by a value, so there could be two bys like I thought.

Having said that, I think the new wording also works, so I'm not going to drag this out of the archive to revert it.
