Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
The Elementals make it to the door and get it open! Three of them make it into the room before the fabric-floor on the hallway-side is abruptly snipped away, causing the fourth to plummet into the fabric-heaps below. Several of the whirling bundles of rags immediately stop whatever it is they're doing and advance on the unfortunate summon.
Dulcinea, while awaiting Ryuu's aerial services, ponders the room. Thanks to the Professor's earlier lecture, she feels fairly confident this was created from area mana interacting strongly with part of the dungeon's core theme- in this case, tailoring- and manifesting itself as an abstraction of that theme. Were one to class parts of a regular dungeon broadly, it would likely lean closer to the 'trap' category, given the vanishing flooring below, although the area beneath would certainly be classed as an 'encounter room' type.
Speaking of which, she squints at those bundles of angry cloth.
She classifies them as Whirl-of-Rags (Spirit, Level 32), a destructive spirit that mostly concerns itself with item debuffing and destruction, chiefly focused on Armor and Accessories, most commonly Clothing, Robes, Scarves, Cloaks, and other generally fabric-based equipment. They seem to gain power depending on what clothes they destroy. They're weak to Fire and resist Air and Water, and while they don't seem to be related to or show any indication of knowing about Laundary, Dulcinea's fairly sure they'd likely spontaneously manifest an Absorption should they come into contact with the bizarre element. But what are the chances of someone here having that?
Some splashing from the door provides her with the not-at-all-vague all-clear signal, and Ryuu ferries the group into the nearest of the rooms with casual ease.
The room inside contains a dressmaker's dummy wearing an unfinished wedding dress. A sewing-box is set neatly on a stool next to it, and boxes of ribbons, lace, beads and the like are arranged on shelves around the room.
Dulcinea's senses (and the compass) are pinging certain boxes as containing materials that are radioactive.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea first scans the be-wedding-dressed mannequin, [RECALLING|REMEMBERING|RECONSTRUCTING] the existence of Wedding Dresses as a new item type from the [UNDEFINED]. After satisfying her curiosity about whether it is in fact that new type (or some wedding-dress based monstrosity) she will look through the room for the various atomic objects (also grabbing any non-atomic objects that happen to be interesting).
Ryuu, the Professor, and the Summons are on guard for SUDDEN MONSTROSITIES.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Recalling the [NOTHING] and experiencing only a minor sensation of her brain trying to implode itself, Dulcinea finds that It does indeed seem to be a wedding dress that is a Wedding Dress.
Well, potentially, anyway. Currently, it is scanning as 'Unfinished Wedding Dress', an Armor-in-potentia that, presumably, needs completing in order to resolve itself into a proper wearable item.
Dulcinea searches the room for radioactivity!
She finds:
Bolt of Atomic Organza- (Item, Material, Atomic, 600,000 Gold)
Bolt of Fallout-Woven Silk Damask- (Item, Material, Atomic & Air, 2,200,000 Gold)
Box of Atomic-Infused Silk Ribbons- (Item, Material, Atomic & Air, 900,000 Gold)
Box of Radioactive Seed Pearls- (Item, Material, Atomic & Water, 2,500,000 Gold)
Box of Irradiated Lace- (Item, Material, Atomic & Air & Light, 800,000 Gold)
The rest of the room contains similar materials of a less-valuable and more-mundane variety.
Fortunately for the rest of the gang, no SUDDEN MONSTROSITIES appear to be forthcoming.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea gathers up and stores the mannequin with unfinished dress and the materials for future use, then summons a replacement Timmy Lesser Water Elemental to bring their number back to four.
She sends them out into the hall to check the second Eastern door and await their signal (which she remembers she can understand, for she Speaks the Tongue of Waves), and gets ready to have Ryuutarou fly everyone else over once more. She also extends her geomantic senses for a third time, hoping she's managed to get a better hold on exactly how this dungeon operates as a whole.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea gets:
Unfinished Wedding Dress-Wearing Dummy from S. Crendall Tailoring and Repairs- (Item, Antiquity, Light & Darkness, 300,000 Gold)
She gets the distinct impression that finishing the dress outside the dungeon is likely to have far less impressive results.
Another Lesser Water Elemental pops into being, and the lot of them head back into the Hall of Fabrics. There aren't any casualties this time (the previous victim having apparently been finished off by the Whirls), and the quartet set off through the next door.
There's a short pause. Dulcinea thinks she can hear some weird music coming through the door at the end of the hallway, but that is abruptly drowned out by the sounds of battle from the elementals' room.
Dulcinea hears splashing noises that translate to something about 'two enemies' and 'gold' before a bellowing, roaring noise cuts it off and a blast of thick, golden dust spews from the doorway.
Dulcinea continues to ruminate on the dungeon! Well, the Whirls down there don't seem to be showing any signs of heading upwards, and it seems like encounters are mostly confined to their rooms, which adds more points in favour of this being a fairly standard dungeon which spawns entities without much in the way of autonomy and usually can't leave or effect things outside the spaces they spawned into- unless provoked, as the gold-dust blast suggests.
That doesn't quite explain what was going on with the noises she heard on the first visit, though. Perhaps there's some sort of roaming entity within the place?
Going off the three-four rooms she's seen so far, it doesn't look like the place is growing. It seems fairly stable, although that odd restoration-effect is another question mark. What was it restoring? Did something damage the dungeon? If it's an effect keeping the place in shape as a whole, that would suggest it's more likely to stay within its already-set confines, but on the other hand, something constantly causing damage to it could end up causing it to expand into any notably large holes whatever it is causes and end up slowly growing in an erratic manner through that way. In the worst case, it's possible that something might damage the entrance enough to cause the dungeon to expand outward into the normal world, if the restoration-effect isn't able to properly keep up with things, or ends up developing a glitch or flaw in itself- admittedly a rare possibility, but one that exists, nonetheless.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
The crew-on-Ryuu fly from one room to the other, and behold the scene of the battle!
The four Elementals are facing off against two humanoid figures in what look to be lightweight silk spacesuits, each carrying a large, ominous-looking vase under an arm. Curiously, the entities seem to be composed entirely of thick, glittering golden dust (besides the vases).
The Professor is speed-buffed! He Caffeinates everyone even further! He is VERY FAST INDEED!
Aquatic Bunyips are summoned!
The Professor aggressively Lectures one of the strange dusty opponents! It reels from the assault, but remains upright.
He is, however, VERY FAST, and so is able to fit another Lecture in as a second action! The verbal beatdown causes the odd gold-dust thing to lose all cohesion (and perhaps the will to live), causing it to collapse into a pile of itself.
Leaping phoenix-fire flares up from the collapsed pile! And then, just as quickly, dies out. The Nearby Baseball menaces from a corner.
Dulcinea thoroughly Investigates her remaining foe!
It's an Echo Of The Gold-Dust Killer (Spirit, Level 25). Apparently, whatever that guy did, it left enough of an impression on something to create a templated form of Spirit, probably based on his actions. Or his perceived actions, anyway.
It's capable of mass-inflicting Suffocation: Miasmatic Air and dealing explosive Earth, Air, Fire and Water damage to things with throwable... coins? Huh. It's also capable of dealing a Water-element single-stat mass-debuff to its opponents via some weird conjured rain, can conjure up blinding Light-element missiles, and is capable of resurrecting (once) when killed and gaining a flame-aura that can inflict Burning on things. It also has a very powerful-for-its-level Atomic explosion-attack that requires enough MP that it can't really use often.
Resistances-wise, it looks like it resists Light and Fire, and is weak to Ice and Wood. It also looks like it has some sort of intermittant forcefield-defense that sometimes activates to Reflect offensive actions, but it doesn't have a very large chance to trigger.
The Hippocampi charge in, running the remaining Killer-echo underhoof with gusto! The Tritons stab at what's left, and a sad, smothered flash of phoenix-fire heralds the thing's defeat.
Dulcinea and co. get:
2* XP for a Level 25 entity
Vase Full of Gold Dust- (Item, Antiquity, Earth, 80,000 Gold)
Gold-Dust-Covered Moonburst Coin-Replica- (Weapon, Deadly Item, Earth & Air, 2,000,000 Gold) +2,000 Ranged Attack, +2,000 Magical Attack, 15% Inflicts Suffocation: Miasmatic Air, Weilder may choose to have this weapon also count as a Throwing Weapon
Archer looks distinctly unhappy about the scene he's just witnessed, simply gritting the word "Him." out between clenched teeth.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea, reminded that she can summon standard Water Elementals by a particular turn of phrase in the Professor's Lecture, dismisses the surviving Lesser Water Elementals and replaces them via-Citadel-summoning. She then proceeds to investigate the room, looking for any potentially-interesting things that weren't enemy-drops.
Once she is ready, the new, more powerful elementals set forth into the Clothway of Doom, and head for the South Door.
When the signal is given, everyone will board Ryuutarou for the flight over.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea investigates the area! The room looks vaguely like it's been set up to resemble the bazaar outdoors- flagstone flooring, the desks and surfaces looking more like wooden stalls and stands, fabrics draping across the ceiling.
She finds a couple of different types of cloth that catch her eye.
Pile of Golden Cloth Bolts- (Item, Material, Earth & Light, 20,000 Gold)
Loud Fabrics- (Item, Material, Water & Psychic, 2,000 Gold)
New-and-improved Water Elementals are summoned and sent off to the door at the end of the hall! The strange, muffled music resolves itself and bursts forth as an aggressively-jaunty Electro-Swing sea shanty as the elementals file in.
The splashed warning of 'one weird enemy' is immediately sent to Dulcinea.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Onward, the cry goes out, onward to battle!
Ryuu, carrying the rest of the group, surges towards the bizarre malevolent musical mystery-monster as Dulcinea quickly re-equips herself!
The room beyond is much larger than the others before it, bolts of cloth and measuring implements vying for space with odd knick-knacks on the shelves that line the room.
In the centre of the space, rising twenty-five geet into the air and whirling like some deranged carousel, is a plate-like disc of purple sand and violently-green seawater, a forest of trees and mushroom-clouds atop it clustered around an unlit lighthouse painted with clocks and fish wearing sunglasses. A shower of vases trailing golden dust constantly rain into and around the room near it, except sometimes when they rain in reverse instead.
The entire thing is blasting aggressive electro-swing sea-shanties with backmasked rap-backing as it rotates.
The Water Elementals seem to have taken a bit of a beating. One is glowing green and looks like it's halfway to turning into one of those weird elementals the group encountered earlier.
Dulcinea doesn't have time to take in all of this, however, because the moment the group enters, her entire contingent of Aquatic summons (minus her original four Bunyips. who manage to reflexively shift themselves back into Monsters) is ripped from Ryuu's back and sucked into a worryingly-green singularity that vibrates and spins with growing noise and power.
It's too much fish to contain in that space!
It's too short a time, and too small a plaice!
That's right, it's hitting Critical Bass!
A sunglasses-wearing nuclear reactor full of sunglasses-wearing fish, wearing a hawaiian shirt and carrying a fishing rod pops into being on the enemy's side of battle.
The Citadel of the Fisherman objects to this, as fish summoned by the Lord Fisherman cannot be taken from its master's collection!
The strange electro-swing-blaring entity counters this by declaring that Things Are Weird With Time!
Dulcinea's Aquatics are back on her side of battle!
The weird nuclear reactor, however, is still present.
(Things paused for potential rejigging of actions)

EDIT to START OF ROUND 1
The Citadel does not summon.
EDIT TO ROUND 1
Dulcinea has two targets now! She makes sure to use the "Wielder's 'Magical Attack' actions may use Mind as their Prime Attribute and may gain '1 hit against 40,000'," clause so that the Gaze of the Star Oculus beholds both enemies.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Dulcinea chooses to act first out of her side, and uses that action to unleash the Gaze of the Star Oculus upon her foes!
The strange carousel-thing takes Light damage. The weird reactor, however, Absorbs the Water-including attack.
Oh dear.
She manages to get a scan off, though!
The bigger of the two entities is a Sorrows Of The Seaside In Seven-Act Disharmony: An Interpretative Monster (Abstract, Level 38). It's... quite a lot. Dulcinea gets her mind's eye dragged into a chaotic stage-play/musical in seven acts (many of which interrupt each other or return to earlier portions with no warning) that provides her with information! Probably!
It's Resistant to Light, Water and Wood, and has a bizarre rotating Atomic/Time weakness/absorption. Currently, the weakness is set to Atomic.
It can mass-attack with Wood-element, unsummoning things it hits with a potential chance of dragging normal targets into an alt-battlespace against summoned Plants that they'd have to kill to return to the main battlespace.
It can remove all Zones of Light in battle and create a Zone of Darkness that turns all instances of Light-element damage applied it into Healing instead. Light-element entities inside the Zone at the time of creation are either unsummoned (giving the Sorrows a large heal and buff) or have their HP and MP halved, with the other half getting added to the Sorrows' totals.
It can set up a repeating-every-round Earth & Wood & Life-element damage effect that summons potent-for-their-level Plants into the enemy row formations.
It can mass-deal Gold Damage, and use that damage to inflict Suffocation: Miasmatic Air and Dissolving: Bankrupt on its opponents.
It can unleash an extremely powerful Atomic attack that destroys all zones in the area and mass-inflict Irradiated and Antimatter: Atomic Meltdown.
It can, albeit only once a battle, undo a round of battle and have it happen again, except with any ongoing effects that would have happened that round being 'forgotten'.
Finally, it can set up an effect that deals ongoing Atomic damage, has a chance of turning Water-element things into Atomic-element things, and mass-unsummons Aquatics to instead summon an Atomic-element Abstract on its side of battle. It looks like that's what it used before Dulcinea and crew joined in.
Wait, no. Not finally. Dulcinea sees. She sees the secret eighth act that has yet to be written.
It's Race War: The Musical! Should battle drag on long enough, the Sorrows will unleash an effect that turns the battle into a free-for-all of sides divided by Subtype, forcing each side to target a random other side with their actions!
It occurs to the Nightmare Scientist that this entity has some uncomfortable parallels with the problems Marefore is facing.
Yikes. Well, that's one of them out of the way.
The weird nuclear fish-reactor thing is a Fishin' Reactor (Abstract & Aquatic, Level 32). It absorbs Water, Atomic and Aquatics, and is weak to Time and Magic.
It's a mostly support-focused Abstract that empowers its side of battle with weird buffs and can summon in Atomic-element Aquatics (and Abstracts) to assist. It can also (in a limited capacity) control Atomic-element entities. It's also able to inflict a number of Water and Atomic-element status effects, Irradiated (of course) and set up some weird debuffs that allow it to distribute the amount the stats are lowered by to itself and allies as a buff.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
The summons act!
The newly Monsterfied Bunyips act against the Fishin' Reactor!
The first Bunyip inflicts Fatigued: Asleep on both enemy entities using Bunyip's Curse, then the second follows up with a double damage Realized Nightmares (from it being Asleep) against Fishin' Reactor's Magic Weakness. Third Bunyip uses Ravenous Illusions on the same target.
The Tritons use Physical Element Great Tridents against the Horror Carousel, followed up with Physical Element Overruns from the Lesser Hippocampi. The final Bunyip sends forth the Curse of Fatigued: Asleep to afflict both enemies once more.
The Water Elementals leave the room and dump themselves down into the trap room.
Ryuutarou holds action for now.

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
It's summon time!
Sub-status effects aren't usually things the Bunyips can inflict. The first attempts to overclock its cursing ability in order to send its opponents to sleep, regardless.
It is, somewhat surprisingly, successful, and extremely so at that- malevolent hexing-power surges forth and robs both Abstracts of consciousness, setting the carousel to wobbling and the reactor to a less-aggressive burbling. Bunyip 1 thinks it might be able to do it again in the future!
Bunyips 2 and 3 tag-team the Reactor with nightmares and illusions, to variable effect. The abstract's weird nature throws the second Bunyip off, causing it to kill off only a single sunglasses-wearing fish out of the entire reactor-tank. The third has somewhat more luck, dealing Moderate damage as a whole to the thing.
The Tritons have a somewhat simpler task ahead of them: There is a big enemy, and they have big tridents with which to stab it, which they do. The Interpretative Monster is rudely awakened to the tune of a pair of Moderate-damage stabs.
The Hippocampi charge in next, hooves and tails flashing in the green glow of the Fishin' Reactor's radiance!
One immediately bounces off, taking Light damage. The rest charge into the abstract (and into it, stampeding through its beaches and forests), dealing first Moderate and then Heavy damage overall!
Bunyip 4 tries to follow up on Bunyip 1's success but alas! The curse goes awry, fizzling out in a twisted sputter of sinister sorceries.
Ryuu, overcaffeinated as he is, is just fast enough to go before the Abstract madness begins.

Ryuutarou will make a melee attack, excluding any spells and not including the bonus from his Armor (which would add Water to the mix). The First Boss Badge is notable in adding Magic, allowing him to target the Magic Weakness of Fishin' Reactor, so he makes his attack at the burbling fisherconstruct!

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
Ryuu stabs at the fisherconstruct!
Alas! He aims at the wrong place! Also, the wrong plaice! His knife *twoinks* off the fish-based-metal casing of the Reactor for Light damage, earning him little else but the ire of the many be-sunglassed fish within its power core!
The Interpretative Monster launches into a long and melodramatic discourse on The Pain of the Reign of the Seed Rains See'd Plainly Reining In the Sea and Seedy Seaside Regions! Clouds of seeds spew from the demented carousel-thing's forest and cover the ceiling in a thick mass of swirling deep-green cover, threatening to continuously bring the rain-pain down upon its foes!
Dulcinea, while certainly no Gramman, is no longer a slouch in the Botany department! Indeed, she is more plant-capable than ever before, especially after that enlightening incident with Gramman! She has touched the Will of Vernat twice, and been transformed through it!
Through her scans, she can tell that the rain will deal damage to everything on her side each round, and summon in potent Plants as reinforcements into her ranks to allow for maximum carnage.
This would, ordinarily, be a very good strategic decision on the Abstract's part, outnumbered as it is.
Dulcinea, however, is a Rootmind of the Verdant Moon.
She feels that she will be able to turn any summons that pop up to her side in an instant. What's more, she feels like she may well be able to take over as the source of the summoning and carry the resulting plants with her.
The Fishin' Reactor prepares for what is no doubt a storm of allies to descend upon its foes, and sets up to Kick Back And Relaxxx In Nuclear-Fishtime-Stylin', creating a buff that greatly boosts its allies' CON, gives them HP regen, and allows them to ignore the first instance of a status effect or debuff that lands on them each round!
The round ticks.
A storm of seeds and plants erupts from the ceiling, blasting Dulcinea's side of battle!
Dulcinea, Ryuu, the Tritons, Hippocampi 1-5 and Bunyips 1 and 2 take Light damage.
The Professor, Archer, Bunyips 3 and 4 and one of the Hippocampi take Moderate damage.
Plants are summoned into Dulcinea's side of battle! Seeded into their ranks are 5 Graminoid Harvest-Bearer (Plant, Level 35), 5 Graminoid Seed-Rain Exemplar (Plant, Level 39) and 5 Thornbinding Maelstrom-Hawthorn (Plant, Level 39).

Re: Dulcinea de Montréal Goes To Clavia (and Marefore Too)!
The Professor Caffeinates the plants! Coffee is good for them and it shows!
The Professor fires a burst of espresso with horrifically toxic levels of caffeine at the Fishin' Reactor!
The shot goes wild!
The Fishin' Reactor, anticipating the attack, grows bermuda-shorts-wearing leg-fins and jinks out of the way!
It trips and falls directly into the path of the incoming shot!
The impact is significantly lessened, dealing only Minor damage, but the Shot also carries the potential for Impaired: Jittery, which is caught by the Relaxxx-buff, ablating away that particular protection for the weird reactor.
Dulcinea commands the plant-squad to use their strongest attacks against the Fishin' Reactor!
Both Reactor and Sorrows are, as far as Dulcinea can tell (or perhaps imagine, given the difficulty in gauging the expressions and temperament of Abstracts) very much taken aback by the sudden and unexpected betrayal.
The Graminoid Seed-Rain Exemplars attack, manifesting weird plant-growths that glow brilliantly as they channel various energies!
The resultant attacks are extremely varied. A beam of pure Magic energy erupts from the mouth of one, another manifests slashing razor-vines of Metal, a third unleashes a spore-cloud that explode into concussive blasts of Sonic energy, and the fourth causes piercing roots to burst from the ground and impale the abstract reactor with Wood.
Four is all it takes, and the Fishin' Reactor goes down!
But it's not going down without a fight!
That's right, it's suffering from a Nuclear Smeltdown!
Archer, who had been preparing since the last round in case of unexpected shenanigans, abruptly bursts forward, mace wreathed in imbricative stasis-energy. The mace falls, and the fish-based nuclear catastrophe-to-be is abruptly arrested in its tracks, vanishing as the summoned piscine Abstract collapses back into the summon-mana it came from.

Summons are redirected!
The Graminoid Harvest-Bearers and the Thornbinding Maelstrom-Hawthorns, having not needed to attack the Fishin' Reactor, are instead directed to use their strongest non-Water/Wood/Light/Atomic/Time attacks against The Sorrows.
The Tritons Trident!
The Hippocampi Overrun!
Ryuutarou tosses a casting of
Drink Your Sorrows Away- (Spell, Other: Culinary Arts, Water & Light & Darkness, 30 MP, 65,000 Gold) Cures Confusion: Depression, Inflicts Poison: Drunk
at The Sorrows, in case it still has a floating copy of that buff despite the elimination of the Reactor.
Dulcinea charges up a casting of
Parallel Mageblast: Vortex of Sparklemissiles- (Spell, Technomancy, Light & Hope, 110,000 MP, 11,000,000 Gold) +11,000 Magical Attack, +11,000 Ranged Attack, 100% inflicts Impaired: Blind, Individuals hit by this attack obtain a non-stacking debuff that, at the start of the round after it is acquired, has a 100% chance of inflicting Impaired: Blind on its possessor and deals 1,100,000 Flat Light & Hope element Damage to its possessor, Caster must be Level 20 or greater
hoping that The Sorrows' light resist isn't high enough to mostly nullify the debuff-induced Flat Damage burst.
The Bunyips attempt to Curse The Sorrows to sleep, saving Bunyip 1 for last in case everyone else fails.
Ideally, The Sorrows spend the rest of the round asleep, and then explode at the top of Round 3.
