[11:12 PM] Kitsune106: scanning the next one. an ancient iron
Kit unleashes a Magic-and-Time-element Mass Confuse amped through the power of Overdrive!

The shining Bismuth Elemental takes Heavy damage, even though it tries to alter the element of the incoming attack. The Time-factor seems to be throwing it off.
Kit's attack hits the Witness, dealing Moderate damage with the attack.
The purple-glowing Bismuth Elemental and Ancient Iron Elemental absorb the attack.

Mass Confuse is a fairly indiscriminate spell. Kit is unfortunate in that her Overdriven blast also hits the pillar in the centre of the room.
A wash of Magic & Time mana flows into the pillar, which immedaitely shifts colour again. At first, it shines with Magic mana, but the Time mana causes it to become, once again, a clashing, confused mix of angrily-shifting hues. The mana is purged from the pillar in a rush, and another purple-glowing Bismuth Elemental and Ancient Iron Elemental coalesce into being from it.

Tsatmeiyel manages to scan the Witness to The Glory.

It is a Glory & Madness element Radiant. It primarily attacks the Mind and Sanity of its opponents while steadily degrading its own. Once its SAN falls below a certain value, it gains the subtype Horror along with a significant power-boost and enters a berserk-mode that gives it an extra action each round and SAN Drain, which can flip it back to primarily-Radiant-mode and fully heal itself upon doing so. It has a number of abstandard status effects to call upon, can treat Confusion and its subtypes as Moderates, has a chance of inflicting Insanity that scales the lower its SAN drops, can aura-inflict status effects, can summon in Glory-element entities, and gains a boost against non-Glory-element opponents.

It also punishes people for scanning it.

The woman's eyes and mouth open, blinding light spilling forth from within and coiling around her form.
Tsatmeiyel scanned the Witness to The Glory.
Tsatmeiyel Witnessed The Glory, at least secondhand.

Tsatmeiyel doesn't possess the SAN stat. The abstandard, aberrant stat-damage-value instead worms its way into the Dream's weakest stat, dealing Heavy STR damage. In addition, it is afflicted with Awestruck: Myth-Eaten and Mindblasted: Glimpse of The Glory.
Mindblasted: Glimpse of The Glory (Possessor takes an amount of Glory element SAN damage equal to 5% of possessor's Max SAN at the start of every round that cannot be defended against by Defense that is not either coming from Universe-element sources or Defense that is specifically Defense against the element Glory).
Reeling from that, it scans the Ancient Iron Elemental.

It's an Elemental. That much is clear. What is less clear is exactly what it's an Elemental of. It seems to somehow simultaneously be an expression of aged iron (hence the rust), an ancient-and-powerful variant of an Iron Elemental, and an Elemental born from the symbolic associations of the metal itself as it was believed to possess in ages past.
It seems to be caught between these three possibilities with regards to its skillset. It can treat people's defenses as being lower than they are, and levy debuffs to weaken them, with this being significantly boosted against Metal-element entities and gear, along with being able to damage Strength and Constitution. It also seems to have gotten in on those abstandard stats, being able to damage people's RES.
It possesses fairly straightforward powers for an Elemental of its level and theme, too- strong defenses, a strong boost to CON (and RES), a chance to gain an action when hit, the ability to create Zones of Metal and become empowered within them, to stifle Wood, and to perform a number of damaging attacks with the ability to inflict Entombed: Metallic Doom.
It also possesses weird thematic powers that boost its strength, provide it a chance of not dying to attacks and effects that would otherwise kill it, give it a large STR, CON, MIN and (for some reason) SAN boost, and allow it to set up repeating-every-round attacks.

It is also, normally, Metal & Time Element. For some reason, possibly due to the state of reality in Kit's current location, it is registering as being the Imaginary Element 'Ancient Metal', which is currently set to Real.

The Witness to The Glory begins to speak, words a multiply-overlaid garble of syllables that become light that bleed through the air and tinge it with veins of gold. The words are caught in the eruptive wash of mana from the pillar, however, and disperse, their effect lost on her opponents.
The Witness to The Glory takes Moderate SAN damage.

The Ancient Iron Elemental bursts into a whirl of metal motion, rust and rough-yet-sharp blades scything around it. Blades rip through the air, appearing around Kit and tearing into her with both dizzying speed and a sense of glacial inevitability.
Kit takes Heavy damage from the assault as her defenses momentarily fail before the onslaught. Blades continue to hang and whirl around her after the attack, poised ominously.

The Bismuth Elementals unleash blasts of Light and Magic at Kit, dealing Light damage as she manages to dodge one and deflect the worst of the other.

Kit and the Dream flee into the Starmetal Spire, dodging assaults as they go. Kit takes moderate damage from the Ancient Iron Elemental's repeated attack, and the Witness lands another heavy blow to STR as the Witness unleashes a mass-SAN-attack that, fortunately, Kit is able to mostly-weather due to her Glory-resistant armour and being Glory element herself. Kit takes light CON damage.
The Witness takes Moderate SAN damage, the tendrils of light spilling from her eyes and mouth coiling around her form and creating strange and unpleasant patterns in the air around her.
The Bismuth Elementals fire off parting shots, but only manage to deal light damage to Kit as she crosses the threshold to the next dungeon.

Immediately, the air shifts, becoming cool and quiet. The room beyond is made of a dark, blue-black metal shot through with countless twinkling points of silver-white light, and taking the form of a large, domed affair with a circular, sunken bowl-shaped depression in the floor. The dome and bowl have far fewer points of light scattered across them, but those that are there are brighter.

Elegant, curved supports brace the walls, in front of which hover black slabs of metal with patterns of bright stars linked with glowing lines. The slabs radiate a subtle power.

There are two other doors leading from the room. Tsatmeiyal is having trouble with the status effects on it, as they were inflicted by something just high-enough level to prevent its Hundred Jovial Masks to remove.
It's still able to report on the doors, however.
One seems to lead further into the Starmetal Spire.
The other leads to what is registering as The Stratospherium: Caelumtype (2) Spire (Level 1-19).

otherwise its time to head to the The Stratospherium: Caelumtype (2) Spire (Level 1-19)., as time to take it easier as they are in no real shape for a level 59 to 60 dungeon right now

Tsatmeiyel is still suffering from the constant damage and worryingly-fast STR damage from its status effects, but is still able to determine that there's a puzzle of some sort in this room. The hovering slabs look like they can be activated (or deactivated once activated), and presumably having the right combination of them active will result in something, possibly a treasure.

She could probably also try to just take the slabs. It'd break the puzzle, certainly, and may take quite a bit of effort, but if she's really wanting souvenirs (or things made of the metal) that's an option.

Kit knows a lot of Healer abilities! Not all of the ones she's thinking of are relevant, however.
Through shifting herself into Restorative Stance, she's able to start patching the Dream back up, although the status effects themselves are something of a sticking point as Kit's Healer Kit doesn't really have anything that can affect things of that level.

Combining what she does know with Tsatmeiyel's Hundred Jovial Masks, however, along with a fair bit of scrambling for purchase and time-dilation, she's able to isolate the effects to part of the rapidly-discarded mask-pile through Abjuration. Tsatmeiyel has gone through a fair number of the masks, but it isn't suffering from the effects any more.

The Stratospherium (2): Caelumtype Spire-room is a tall, airy chamber made of blue-white metal edged in black, soaring upwards into a fake sky above.

A chest made of the same material sits in the middle of the room, guarded by a fearsome contingent of no fewer than six Lesser Spirit of the Airs (Elemental, Level 6).

A single exit leads off from the other side of the room, showing the familiar, juddering form of a door to the [Five|Eight]-Metal Spire (Level 30-60).

She will loot the chest

Then she heads back into the Starmetal Spire then head further into it, as she doesn't want to risk going into the more abstract ones now.

Kit's spell utterly obliterates the Elementals.

Kit gets:

6* XP for a Level 6 opponent

Bell of the Airs- (Consumable, Enchanted Item, Air, 1 Charge, 12,000 Gold) Casts Call Unto Elements: Air for purposes of effects based on whether or not Call Unto elements: Air has been cast

2 Shoes of the Dancing Wind- (Accessory, Shoes, Air, 30,000 Gold) +20 AGI, 5% Dodge, 15% Dodge against Fey
2 Eye of the Third Wind- (Accessory, Amulet, Air, 40,000 Gold) +80 AGI, 10% Dodge

Breath of the East Wind- (Item, Material, Air, 69,000 Gold)

The chest pops open easily! Within is:

2 Stratospherium (2): Caelumtype- (Item, Antiquity, Null & Water & Light, 14,500 Gold)

Refined Stratospherium (2): Caelumtype Bowling Ball- (Weapon, Orb, Null & Water & Light, 145,000 Gold) +150 Magical Attack, +150 Ranged Attack, +150 MIN, +150 SPI, 110% To Hit, this weapon may count as solely possessing the element Air if in a Zone of Illusion

---

Kit returns to the Starmetal Spire and heads through the other door, presumably deeper into the dungeon.

The next room is criss-crossed by wide channels filled with rivers of liquid starlight, filled by a huge waterfall (starfall?) of the same that spans the entire width of the room. Kit can just about make out two doors on the other side of the starry deluge, but can't quite tell where they'd lead to.
On this side of the room, another door leads off further into the Starmetal Spire.

The Dream reports that the starfall is likely to damage anything that tries to pass through it normally.

Kit pulls out one of her oldest weapons, and attempts to teleport across the room.
Normally, the starfall and properties of the room would prevent bypassing the obstacle in such a way, but the lance is very much on-theme, allowing its power to activate without trouble.

Bringing the Dream is a bit of a trickier prospect. While Kit is perfectly protected from any effects traversing the starfall might have thanks to the Lance, her passenger takes Moderate damage as it phases through the cascade of liquid starlight.

Kit then attempts to absorb some of the liquid starlight into the Lance. This, as it turns out, works extremely well.

It does not, however, offer a significant power boost. The Dream determines why.

Sunmetal is a Light-element material. Moonmetal is Darkness & Magic-element material. Starmetal, as it turns out, is a Light & Magic-element material, and fairly in-tune with the Lance.
The Star Lance can already shift itself to the elements of Light, Magic and Astral.

Starmetal is a 10,000,000 Gold-value Material.
The Star Lance is more valuable, so it does not gain a significant power boost.

Instead, the Lance draws in the flow of starlight itself, expressing it as a new bestowable ability!
It gains:

Astral Cascade- 20,000 Damage, 1 hit against each individual in a chosen opposing side's row of battle, Astral, 900 MP

Kit checks the doors on the other side of the room. One leads to another room of the Starmetal Spire, from the looks of it, while the other is showing that once-again familiar juddering doorway that denotes an entrance to the [Five|Eight]-Metal Spire.

*Airynmetyr, Silver Sword of Sereyn's Light- (Weapon, Sword, Light, 116,000,000 Gold) +114,000 Melee Attack, +110,000 AGI, +110,000 SPI, 85% Voidstruck Resistance Wielder's 'Melee Attack' and 'Attack With Finesse' actions remove all debuffs that their targets that are Demons, Devils, Daemons, and Undead below Level 80 are the source of, 100% may inflict Awestruck or Awestruck: Sealed on Demons, Devils, Daemons, and Undead, Wielder's 'Melee Attack', 'Powerful Attack', 'Attack With Finesse', and 'Melee Overdrive' actions use Spirit as their Prime Attribute, Wielder may spend an action to summon 3 Dove of Sereyn from the Enemy List (max 10 summoned), Wielder must be Level 20 or greater and must be a devout worshipper of Sereyn

Kit isn't quite able to create a spell sphere, but through using Abjuration to create a bubble around the flow she's able to encapsulate enough to treat it as an item.

Kit gets:

Liquid Starlight from the Starmetal Spire- (Item, Material, Light & Magic & Astral, 8,000,000 Gold)

Kit attempts to absorb some of the liquid starlight into *Airynmetyr! Unfortunately, while Sereyn is indeed a goddess aspected towards Light, she has little of anything to do with stars, metal, or the elements of Magic and Astral. As a result, while the liquid starlight running down the blade looks pretty, it provides no benefit to the weapon.

Kit heals up her wounds as best she can. She's at 90% Max HP or so, as far as she can tell.
Tsatmeiyel is at about 80%, HP-wise, but its STR is hovering around 60%. It took quite a stat-hammering from that weird alt-stat SAN assault.

The next chamber is huge and dark. The walls and floor shimmer with a far more subdued light, and the enormous dome of the ceiling is strangely and completely pitch-black, despite being made of the same Starmetal as the rest of the room.
In the centre of the chamber, resting atop a pedestal lies a shining paintbrush, its tip shimmering with starlight.

Three other doors lead out of the area. Two lead to rooms with the brighter shimmer generally-associated with Starmetal.
The third leads to a hall of muted blue-grey metal that almost seems to fade in and out of reality, mist wisping from its entrance.
Tsatmeiyel is registering it as leading to The Aetherium Spire, but can't properly scan its level. It reports it's likely too high in level for it to get a proper reading on.

The dream will scan the room and paintbrush....

Kit thinks that the paintbrush is needed to paint the wall and dome and make a scene. She isn't sure what one. She will hover with the starlance and use the paintbrush.

all she has is:
Paleolithic Architect- (Passive Ability, Architect) Possessor's Large Structure summons gain +500 Defense as a non-stacking buff if they are summoned in a Zone of Earth
Chimney-Creating Art- (Passive Ability, Other: Subspace Architect) Large Structures below Level 60 gain -40% Resilience against possessor
Deranged Music- (Passive Ability, Musician) Possessor's 'Magical Attack' actions may gain '40% inflicts Confusion' if possessor has an instrument equipped
Install Asbestos- (Technique Ability, Other: Subspace Architect) Possessor may use 'Install Asbestos' in conjunction with a 'Repair Large Structure' action. Said action gives all Large Structures that it targets a buff that causes them to deal 400 CON Damage to each non-'Large Structure' in battle at the start of each round (including allies) and has a 30% chance of inflicting Diseased on each such target, with said buff stacking 3 times, with the stat damage it deals stacking together as part of a single application instance
Mine Brain- (Technique Ability, Architect) Possessor may use 'Mine Brain' in conjunction with a 'Melee Attack' action so long as no other Technique is involved an either an Axe or a Tool is equipped. Said action deals 500 MIN Damage and may scan its target's stats.
Sweep Mines- (Passive Ability, Architect) If possessor has an item with 'Broom' in its name equipped, possessor's offensive actions may not be countered by individuals below Level 40
Repair Large Structure- (Active Ability, Other: Subspace Architect) Possessor may spend an action to conduct an attack that only affects Large Structures, Heals, Includes Melee Attack, Magical Attack, and Ranged Attack bonuses that come from Tools or Subspace Architect abilities (but not other such bonuses, with such bonuses each being capped seperately at their normal caps) and that uses Mind as its Prime Attribute

which probably doe snot apply
