Caelum has an odd relationship with the truth.
First, he didn't exist, until an artifact lied his timeline into being. After a fashion.
Then he was found by an illusionist, who used unique magic to lie him into the main timeline where his disguise became the truth, in return for a promise of assistance.
Then he found out the truth about Aloysius Gullroyal and the terrible universe-warping illusionist he planned to bring into being, so he turned his promise into a lie and hunted him down, claiming the Liar's Gate for himself in the process.
He became The Man Who Lied To Time.
He then lied things into reality in El-Bazril, making them the truth.
Then Hadjbalaum, Devourer of Sinners devoured his ability to lie, making him a true and honest version of himself before Truth was even an element, substituting Life instead.
Caelum didn't let that stop him, and while pursuing that odd version of truth, also found time to learn how to lie once more, better than ever before.
Then he decided just lying to Time wasn't enough, and learned how to control it in truth.
Then he gained the lying power of an Ascendant, becoming able to to make lies a fundamental Base part of reality.

All of this is to say, he owes everything he is and every great advancement he's made to truth and lies in equal measure, especially where the lines blur.

With that in mind, he lies once more.

Caelum is, therefore, now a Deity.

To check, this is on-theme for him, but has anyone else used these things to start counting as a deity for purposes of pulling from this?

Nobody else has the spell or ability in question, nor have they tried lying themselves into being a deity. It's a first!
