Nira approaches the judges, she will clap her hands together twice as to signal for resources. Her quartet of maids will rush out next to her. As one of the Bartenders of Nexus, her profession requires representation. While her skills with the cloth are a pittance compared to her alacrity with the forge or the beverage, she wouldn't be caught doing any less than outstanding.

Vanessa brings out Nira's finest bartender suit, currently in a state of disuse. Nira hasn't gotten back to tending much since her display at the quarterfinals of the last quest, but compared to her outfits respecting her skills and representing her employer, it's time to bring this one up to par.

Rhia will arrive, carrying a stack of pants with convenient properties identified useful for bar tending. She sets them out, neatly folded and ready for disassembly.

Giselle slams a pile of thick and resilient hides next to those. She nods with the deed completed.

Kasumi brings in a jar of tumultuous essence; labeled "Open in case of never" and shaking ever so slightly as it's brought near to Nira.

The four of them will line up flanking Nira at attention as her kitten jumps to her shoulder. Nira will snap her fingers and start to draw the materials together, sliding stiff hide among pocket spaces and into the suit. She then reaches the final step as she breaks the jar over the product. A temporal vortex churns and whorls and violently rages, seeming to surge out of control as she deftly reaches for her drink.

She pours onto it a fine bottle of champagne, setting the hunger to a satiated state of peace.
She pours onto it an unrelenting rain of infinite reality. The Hunger constantly fed but never content.

Those able to see across the timelines can see her reaching into both, and finding the result in the middle to bring into reality. Her yearning for powerful bartending at equal odds with with her desire to provide the best service, perpetually at equilibrium until the end of time.

Those without, see her combo something that seems rather risky, pouring a mess of liquid over a lot of cloth.

It is on the stage. It's form is.

A combo is done. Of all the combos performed, it's certainly the most one of them.

The first fucking rule of Silent One's combo is that you don't dare speak of it, or else he'll cut you open and skip rrrrrrrope with your entrails. Bitch.

From VOID and DARKNESS, I bring forth BLASPHEMY against the NATURAL ORDER, that SCIENCE MAY PREVAIL over the IGNORANT and FOOLISH. SOME may call me MAD, or even HERETICAL, but what is madness or heresy to the INQUIRING MIND but a BARRIER TO FREE THOUGHT placed by the SMALL-MINDED who cannot countenance TRUE DISCOVERY!" 1 Adaptive Blasphemy Matter
1 Missing Tea
11 Farheaven Cloud
11 Farspace Blossom
11 Adept's Horizon-Breaking Formula
Fadefractal Silk Labcoat + 6 Hambelstern Prototype Force Field + 6 Hambelstern Prototype Parts + 12 Hambelstern Prototype Drone Network System Core + Adaptive Blasphemy Matter + 12 Missing Tea = Shattered Darkspace-Fractal Forcefield (Theoretical Scientist)

Shattered Darkspace-Fractal Forcefield- (Armor, Aura, Darkness & Astral & Void & Devastation, 265,000,000 Gold) +265,000 Defense, 30% Darkness Resistance, 30% Astral Resistance, 30% Void Resistance, 30% Warding Resistance, Voidstruck Immunity against sources below Level 90, Wearer may choose to count as being inside a Zone of Darkness & Astral & Void & Devastation, Wearer may, at the start of each round, select a (Warding element or Abjuration) buff present on an entity in the same battlespace that comes from a source (below Level 85 that is equal Level to or lower Level than wearer), remove all stacked instances of it, and acquire a buff that stacks 10 times that provides (+26,500 Ranged Attack, +26,500 Defense, +26,500 AGI, +26,000 MIN, +26,500 SPI, +50% May Inflict Voidstruck, +50% May inflict Burning, Overload, Dissolving, or Antimatter), Wearer must be Level 40 or greater and must possess the ability 'Theoretical Scientist' or the ability 'Adept Aura Mastery'

It takes the form of anomalous, sharp-edged polygons of volatile-looking purple matter that interacts poorly with most conventional, terrestrial materials, causing dissolution, explosions, melting, sudden combustion, and other issues when brought on-planet. Typically, it must be stored within a containment field (or inventory) to avoid causing problems. When active, it assumes a ring configuration around the wearer, generates a forcefield of its energies, and then promply collapses, rupturing its own initial bubble-shape and becoming a haphazard, swirling mess of vertices that create a shattered-looking forcefield that nevertheless - through special calculations built into the fabric of its connectivity - manages to shield its user, often forming spiky, lopsided constructs of dangerous energies to do so. It reacts aggressively to other wards and abjurations, causing them to decay into similiar matter from the dark depths of space in flashy explosions that link the failed abjurations to itself, bolstering its own capabilities (and gaining the ability to shoot the excess darkspace-matter polygons at foes in deadly barrages).

Fadefractal Silk Labcoat + 6 Hambelstern Prototype Force Field + 6 Hambelstern Prototype Parts + 12 Hambelstern Prototype Drone Network System Core + Adaptive Blasphemy Matter = Hell-Researcher's Protective Lab Coat (Theoretical Scientist)

Hell-Researcher's Protective Lab Coat- (Armor, Light Armor, Void & Darkness & Acid & Devastation & Technology & Fire, 165,000,000 Gold) +165,000 Defense, +165,000 MIN, +1,650,000 MP as a non-stacking bonus, Burning Immunity, Antimatter Immunity, 100% Voidstruck Resistance, +165,000 Magical Attack for Dark Magic and Demon Magic spells, 15% Demon Resistance, 15% Devil Resistance, 15% Daemon Resistance, 120% Critical against Celestials, Angels, and Devas when casting Hypertech spells, Wearer must be Level 40 or greater

A jet-black lab coat with a stylish cut, but ominous aura to it. Tools for measuring and collecting samples from Hell-environments can be pulled from its pockets, and it affords protecting against the more common sorts of lower planes and lower-planar inhabitants while offering bolstered capabilities with synergizing dark, hell-born forces with newly-invented technology.

A completely forgettable figure steps onto the stage, says some words that no one can remember, briefly turns into a train, then into a giant robot-spawning building, and then departs the stage to no remarks from the crowd.

1,000 Terrifying Holiday Costume + 1,000 Mist of Forgetfulness + Farheaven Cloud + Infinitely Repoisonous Coffee = Cloaking Fog of Recurrent Menace (Fog of Unknowable Graces)

Cloaking Fog of Recurrent Menace- (Accessory, Cloak, Darkness & Air & Psychic & Illusion & Memory, 145,000,000 Gold) 100% Dodge, Wearer counts as 10 Levels higher for purposes of having its stats scanned as an effect that does not bypass 'Immune to under Level X' effects, Wearer may, at the start of a round, create a Phantom Terrain of Fogsea that lasts until the end of the round, and, if wearer does so, attach a non-stacking effect that allows wearer, at the start or end of any action, to a max of once each per round per entity, to choose an entity within the Phantom Terrain and have a 500% chance of inflicting (Confusion: Fear, Confusion: Forgetful, Confusion: Lost, Confusion: Paranoia, Confusion: Surprised, and, optionally, Voidstruck and/or Mindblasted); if any of these status effects from this item afflicts an entity, that entity, until the end of the round it acquired the negative status effect, as a non-stacking debuff, becomes unable to Dodge wearer, and wearer may, for purposes of actions that target solely entities afflicted with said debuff and/or willing entities (including wearer), choose to count as having not acted yet in battle; While a Phantom Terrain that was created by this item is present, wearer may spend an action to replicate an action performable by a Horror, Devil, Demon, Undead, Mindshadow, Umbral, or Insect that is normally fightable for drops on the Enemy List that is below Level 80 that is below wearer's level, Wearer must be Level 40 or greater

Confusion: Forgetful (Possessor has a 50% chance of losing each instance of each buff it possesses (checked on a per-instance basis) at the start of possessor's first action each round.)

It is a bank of fog, filled with ideas of monsters. It is a dark, oppressive shade, and it creeps into places it shouldn't (for example blocking out sun at mid-day for only a street corner and the interior of the four shops adjacent to it, placing monsters in the aisles and scratching things in the cabinets). It pulls memories from the head, replacing them with more fog - those caught in it forget where they were going, forget where they have already been, and even begin to forget who they are. Most importantly, though, they forget the monsters. Each time a monster shows itself or briefly surges forth (before being run from or driven back into the fog), it is as though it is the first monster present - a moment of sudden shock after a building dread, hitting just as much of a blindside again and again as the fog creeps along, sometimes following those who stumble in the direction of a potential exit, sometimes mercifully departing on its own and leaving those who were in it barely aware that anything happened at all.

The fog can, by those capable of handling more intangible things, be lifted up and donned like a cloak. Not only is it possible to do so, the ideas of monsters within it want it to be worn. They long for company and purpose. It fades in around the edges of its wearer, drifting around like a faint foggy blur at the periphery of vision. Once its wearer calls it to assist in battle - or simply lingers in one place for to long - it billows in from the cracks, the crannies, and the unseen places, beginning to cloyingly hang in the air, offering confusion and loss of memory to its wearer's foes and the assistance of monsters to the wanderer it wreaths in its misty protection.

1,000 Terrifying Holiday Costume + 1,000 Mist of Forgetfulness + Farheaven Cloud = Cup of Everfear Fog (Fog of Unknowable Graces)

Cup of Everfear Fog- (Consumable, Lethal Item, Air & Psychic & Darkness & Mystery, 1 Charge, 90,000,000 Gold) Up to 300,000 targets have a 400% chance of being afflicted with an instance of Confusion: Fear that cannot be removed or automatically recovered from by sources below Level 60 and that, if removed, has a 400% chance of re-inflicting itself on its prior possessor at the end of the round of its removal and each of the next eight rounds thereafter

It is a grail-like cup, wide and hefty in its proportions, molded from what at first appears to be gold. The longer one focuses on it, the more it, to all senses, begins to become a gritty, pitted-gray material covered in flecks of greenish rush that eventually begin to skitter around on six tiny legs like insects. Inside it rolls a bank of fog, great and vast enough in its true proportions that, when poured out, it could cover a mid-sized city. Those who inhale, touch, or even merely pass through with inappropriately-warded outwear, the fog are stricken with endless bouts of recurrant terror, with all reason fading into heaps of feverish fear. Neither the passage of years, nor healing magic, nor advanced brain surgery can cure the endless terror - only death offers release from the fog's phobias.

Commentary: I feel like the non-drink version of the combo somehow got some of the drink in it by mental-temporal proximity (possibly/probably should have been a non-sticky fear-grail), but I'm going with what happened rather than going back and trying to revise stuff in ways that will delay the contest.

Crown of the Absolute Emperor- (Accessory, Crown, Nobility & Glory & Law, 80,000,000 Gold) +80,000 Defense, +80,000 SPI, +800,000 MP as a non-stacking bonus, Wielder's allies gain +8,000 to all stats as a non-stacking bonus, 200% inflicts Charm, 30% inflicts Dominion, Wielder must be Level 20 or greater, Wielder must be either Level 40 or greater or must possess the ability 'Noble'

Rift Armor- (Armor, Grand Armor, Spatial & Earth, 255,000,000 Gold) +255,000 Defense, +220,000 CON, +220,000 SPI, -200,000 AGI, Whenever wielder is attacked by a lower-Level source below Level 80, if another battlespace exists as part of the same battle, wielder may, at the end of said attack (and the end of any action said attack is contained in) move said attacker into another battlespace that is part of the same battle so long as no individual of Level 80 or greater who is in the Battlespace that is being entered or the battlespace that is being exited by said entity objects, Wearer must be Level 40 or greater

Angelic Rosary of Peace- (Accessory, Magic Item, Light, 90,000,000 Gold) +90,000 Defense, +90,000 SPI, Individuals below Level 60 who are below wielder's Level may not target wielder with offensive actions if wielder has not conducted an offensive action against them or dealt them Damage, Wielder must be Level 20 or greater

Manifest Avatar- (Passive Ability, Other: Worldbound God) Possessor obtains a +1 bonus to all base stats. Possessor obtains an uncapped 25% bonus to possessor's Max HP. Possessor may, up to once per thread, at the start of a thread, at the start of a battle, or at the start of a round. create a replicated copy of itself that counts as unique but is allowed to exist alongside possessor, which does not possess this ability, transfer any number of its equipped and/or carried items to that copy, allow that copy to equip whatever subset of those it choses that it would be allowed to equip, then remove itself from being directly present in battle, entering a Numinous State. This copy does not have to travel in a summon slot and may persist between battles without being in one. This copy cannot be unsummoned by entities that are not either 20 or more Levels greater than possessor or are Level 99. This copy counts as being an additional owner, creator, and controller of any effects, entities, or items that possessor is owner, creator, or controller of if possessor desires such, and possessor may count as being an additional owner, creator, or controller of any effects, entities, or items that said copy is, respectively, an owner, creator, or controller of. If this replicated copy is killed, as an effect that blocks the checking of battle victory/loss conditions (but stops doing so if a 200-cycle loop is achieved or the following effect fails to resolve), possessor exits the Numinous State, obtains any number of its equipped and/or carried items from that copy, is allowed to equip whatever subset of those it choses that it would be allowed to equip, and then blocks the resurrection of the copy or undoing of its death. While this ability's possessor is in a Numinous State, it may act in turn order, but may only perform Worldbound God Active Abilities and 'Cast a Spell' actions as actions. While in a Numinous State, possessor may count as being in any battlespace that at least one of possessor's Devout Worshippers is in. Possessor may not be targeted while in a Numinous State by things that could not target either specifically things that are in Numinous States or that could target Haunting or Possessing entities. The replicated copy of possessor counts as being a Devout Worshipper of possessor even if possessor is normally not; this is in addition to any other deity or pantheon that possessor is a devout worshipper of.

Place hoder for now.
Professor Hoppy the God-Taming Drunkard's Eternal Bender +Rift Armor + Crown of the Absolute Emperor + Angelic Rosary of Peace + Fade Spray = Avatar-Binding God-Imprisoning Spray (Manifest Avatar)

Avatar-Binding God-Imprisoning Spray- (Consumable, Lethal Item, Void & Nobility & Spatial & Technology, 1 Charge, 80,000,000 Gold) 60% inflicts an instance of Vanished on target Deity that lower Level than user, with the instance of Vanished, if the Deity is non-unique and normally fightable for drops on the Enemy List, summoning a replicated copy (max 1 summoned) of the deity on the item's user's side at the time of its infliction, with this replicated copy being resummoned by the status effect at the end of any round that it is dead or has been unsummoned but where the status effect is still in place; in an RP thread this item can summon copies of unique deities - they will just be weaker than the original, possessing powers appropriate to an avatar rather than the full deity

It is a spray bottle, golden in color with white accents, advertising 'A handy new way to make those pesky gods nesting inside your house work FOR you rather than AGAINST you!'. It manages to give off a weirdly low-class vibe for something so expensive with so much Nobility mana jam-packed in it.

If sprayed on a divine being, it shunts the being into a sealed pocket-dimension (with the visual effect of the target fading from view as the aerosol spray hits it), which then binds it in knots with its own power, takes a sampling of that power to generate an avatar, and seals, wards, and generally locks-down the pocket dimension, setting up a scanning routine on the exterior of the warded space that occasionally checks for the loss of the bound avatar, re-sectioning off a new slice of power to create a replacement should one be needed (and be possible to construct).

Rift Armor + Crown of the Absolute Emperor + Angelic Rosary of Peace + Fade Spray = Peace-Keeping Crown of the Bygone World-Emperor (Manifest Avatar)

Peace-Keeping Crown of the Bygone World-Emperor- (Accessory, Crown, Nobility & Void & Law, 80,000,000 Gold) +80,000 SPI, Wielder's allies gain +8,000 to all stats as a non-stacking bonus, 200% inflicts Charm, 15% inflicts Dominion, If wielder dies, wielder, if not a replicated entity, to a max of once per thread across all copies of this item, summons a replicated copy of itself that is wearing a replicated copy of this item, with said copy being unable to perform offensive actions and not counting as alive for victory-condition-checking purposes, Wielder must be Level 20 or greater, Wielder must be either Level 40 or greater or must possess the ability 'Noble'

It is an ornate crown with three major points on the front, the middle of which is taller than the others and rises to an accented diamond-shape. It is designed such that when its wearer passes away, the crown constructs a magical duplicate of the former wearer that takes on a primary focus of preventing factional infighting, avoiding succession crises, and attempting to maintain the lands ruled by the wearer in a state of peace-focused equilibrium, prioritizing stability and continuity of tradition to expansion or innovation.

DARSTON

A dignified looking older man with a mane of close cut white hair and reading glasses steps onto the stage. In a simple tunic of grey and brown the man should be forgettable, but something betweem the intensity of his eyes, a subtle shimmer in the air, and his ever-so-slightly too muscular frame convey there is more to him than meets the eye. Behind him emerges Lady Rosaline, clad in elegant attire with a perfect mask for a face.

The shapeshifter runs the audience through a quick background on each of the items in the combo, then brews the signature tea onstage with help from Lady Rosaline. Observant individuals in the audience note that two batchs have been made, and Rosaline pocketed the second.

Darston neatly assembles the items and with a snap of his fingers drops one of his veils. Where the shapeshifter stood previously is now a hole in space shifting rapidly between his different potential forms. After a few moments of this the hole stabilizes in the form of a tunnel to some distant, alien place threaded through with root-like veins of green light as the various pieces of the combo flash and snap into place.

No drink: 12 Twelvefold Nested Mobile Aura of Retributive Pain + 12 Cloak of Nested Illusions + 4 Rift Armor + 4 Farspace Blossom + Radiant Titan-Mail of Ancient Legend + Crossworld Fractal-Structure + 10 One Hundred Thousand Shifting Veils = ??? (Gatekeeper of Unbreached Veils)
12 Twelvefold Nested Mobile Aura of Retributive Pain + 12 Cloak of Nested Illusions + 4 Rift Armor + 4 Farspace Blossom + Radiant Titan-Mail of Ancient Legend + Crossworld Fractal-Structure + 10 One Hundred Thousand Shifting Veils + Exquisite Veil Blend = Radiant Titan-Mail of the Crossrealm Veils (Gatekeeper of Unbreached Veils)

Radiant Titan-Mail of the Crossrealm Veils- (Armor, Grand Armor, Spatial & Earth, 875,000,000 Gold) +875,000 Defense, +875,000 CON, +875,000 AGI, +875,000 SPI, +8,750,000 HP as a non-stacking bonus, 130% Dodge, 130% Resilience, 40% Spatial Resistance, 40% Physical Resistance, 40% Time Resistance, Entombed Immunity, Drowning Immunity, Suffocation Immunity, Whenever wearer is attacked by a lower-Level source below Level 80, if another battlespace exists as part of the same battle, wearer may, at the end of said attack (and the end of any action said attack is contained in) move said attacker into another battlespace that is part of the same battle so long as no individual of Level 80 or greater who is in the Battlespace that is being entered or the battlespace that is being exited by said entity objects, Up to 12 times per thread per wearer across all copies of this item and per copy of this item across all wielders, wielder may choose for an attack from a source below Level 99 that is not 5 or more Levels greater than wearer to miss, Wearer's stats may not be scanned by sources below Level 80, Wearer may spend an action to scan the stats of all individuals in any one battlespace, Wearer is Immune to sources below Level 40, Wearer may, before any of wearer's actions, if no individual (of equal or greater Level or who is Level 99 or greater) who is in either battlespace objects, wearer may move from any one existing battlespace to any other existing battlespace, Wearer must be Level 60 or greater

It is a massive suit of armor, towering tens of thousands of feet in size, glowing with light that shows vista after vista of other nearby realities. When worn, it resizes to the wearer and can transport incoming attacks to other dimensions, causing them to miss entirely via a variety of space-bending tricks. Its wearer can walk between dimensions with a single step, cast divinations and senses to other planes, and is shielded against abilities that would bypass armor through ethereal or telefrag-based means.

12 Twelvefold Nested Mobile Aura of Retributive Pain + 12 Cloak of Nested Illusions + 4 Rift Armor + 4 Farspace Blossom + Radiant Titan-Mail of Ancient Legend + Crossworld Fractal-Structure + 10 One Hundred Thousand Shifting Veils = Twelvefold Nested Doom-Realm Ward-Working (Gatekeeper of Unbreached Veils)

Twelvefold Nested Doom-Realm Ward-Working - (Armor, Ward, Spatial & Warding & Fire & Acid & Atomic & Ice & Destruction & Electrical & Energy & Sonic & Time & Flux & Astral & Color & Agony, 770,000,000 Gold) +770,000 MIN, +770,000 SPI, 100% Dodge, +100% Dodge, 30% Base Element Resistance, 40% Fire Resistance, 40% Acid Resistance, 40% Atomic Resistance, 40% Ice Resistance, 40% Destruction Resistance, 40% Electrical Resistance, 40% Energy Resistance, 40% Sonic Resistance, 40% Time Resistance, 40% Flux Resistance, 40% Astral Resistance, 40% Color Resistance, 40% Agony Resistance, Stat Drain Immunity, Whenever wearer is attacked, wearer may, as a preemptive counter, deal the attacker 7,700,000 Flat Damage of any combination of the elements Spatial & Warding & Fire & Acid & Atomic & Ice & Destruction & Electrical & Energy & Sonic & Time & Flux & Astral & Color & Agony, Wearer must be Level 60 or greater

(Note that this armor intentionally provides no bonus to Defense.)

It is a concentric grouping of twelve rings of alternate dimensions, each either a connection to a nearby dangerous reality (that can easily be linked to) or a pocket hell-world (with hell in this case usually trending towards 'easily causing death and being unsuited for most beings to live in' rather than any metaphysical connection to lower-planar entities). The rings can be seen as shadow-effects on the ground, displaying bits of ground (or space where ground should be but isn't in realms where ground is not a suitable representation of the place or not present) from each of the twelve realms, each larger than the last, radiating outwards. Any attack coming towards the bearer of the complex ward must pass through each layer in turn, with the layers expanding to sizes up to hundreds of miles in vastness as the attack soars through them, with deadly weather and other hazardous attacks bombarding the attack/attacker as it approaches.

LILI

An envelope folded into an airplane sails into the room from an open window that may or may not have been there just a moment prior (Who's to say?). Landing in the middle of the room, it unfolds into an origami arch from which Lili emerges without breaking stride. She seems at once impatient, a bit overworked, and energized. The daemon wears the Dacchenburg tophat with a hand-sewn patch reading MAIL LIFE expertly stitched onto the front at a slight angle.

She paces around the stage with a showwoman's flair, winks at the audience, and whips her hat off her head to show it's empty. The daemoness looks into it frowning and gives it a little shake as the many different ingredients come floating out one by one. They dance themselves into place, forming a diagram in the air.

"Nice to have a little fun once in a while, isn't it? I think it's quite remarkable how far all of us have come here, new faces and old. There is no way I could ever have put this together without the diligent work of my many many peers both in battles and experimentation. So this one's for all of you with a heart in love with pushing that ceiling just a bit higher. Here's hoping this experiment in further pushing the boundaries of possibility is a success!"

Lili produces a clipboard and quill to take notes on, then gestures and begins to furiously scribble as the combo is performed.

This is a pretty blue-and-white patterned dress with puffy sleeves and accompanying apron. Upon microscoping examination, the dress is sewn together from threads of fate, orihalcum thread, divine metals, and a mix of unknown and adaptive substances from exotic worlds on the edges of high-tech dimensions. When brought to a world, it makes that realm's gods, as well as the very threads of fate, excessively, sloppily drunk. Things that should not happen (and would never have been able to happen) begin happening. Priests begin getting spells randomly. Divine curses end or contort. Kings are cast from their thrones, with new governments (or states of anarchy) sweeping in. Fish walk on land, and birds sing serenades in the depths. Contracts are broken and bindings escaped with ease, as established order breaks down. The dress's effects become stickier over time, with worlds it is present on too long becoming places of chaos and nonsense (albeit frequently ones filled with life, color, and a new, poetic dream-logic).

Anointed by powers of balance, granted fragments of both law and chaos, this armor - at once gloriously shining and infinitely dark - is worn by champions of fate to restore balance to worlds where it is lost. In places where light and goodness reign, it makes its wearer a being of stark and mighty terror, malevolent and grand. In places where good has lost to evil, it makes the wearer a beacon of hope, uplifting the lost and restoring righteousness to a world it has long-since departed. It carries eternal recurrance with it, bringing the wearer back from death again and again - sometimes in different forms - returning the wearer to fight for the cosmic balance once more if ever defeated or should the scales tip again in either direction. If its wearer is devoted to a particular deity, it can, through a process of sacred rites, be altered to focus its powers on returning that deity's powers and general ethos to worlds where it has been lost or is on the wane, instead transporting the wearer from one such reality to another, eternally questing on the higher power's behalf.

Re: Combo Contest: The Drunk Baboon Combat-Fashion Show

Post by Lord Gadigan »

A goblin watching in the audience suddenly experiences a religious epiphany. Shortly afterwards, they experience considerable surprise as their belief begins to flow from them in tangible form, whirling into a ball that arcs towards the stage, gaining in solidity and cohesion.
A different goblin with eyes that glow with divine, green light and wearing nothing but an elaborate loincloth of seafoam and saltwater finishes his floating leap and pivots to address the audience, arms spread and grinning.

"Hey there! Name's Viren. You've now heard of me. I'm a new god 'round these parts, conjured up out of the Tide after that incident with the Universe breaking and such. Some say that when dear old Maylene's carcass got washed back out into the Tide, they put me together from all the decent bits it had in it."
A beat.
"Which is why I'm so short."
He winks.
"Just kidding! Probably. Anyway, as you folks can see I'm kind of starting from the bottom with regards to divine regalia. Not going to stay down the bottom for long, and neither is anyone who wants to pitch in and worship me stick around, I'll give you the whole spiel on the exciting opportunities getting in good with a Divinity on the ground floor gets you after the show, but I figured I'd take advantage of this fun contest to strut my stuff so I can strut out with stuff! Seriously, being able to combo things is a treat. Pester those Arena-guys more for it."

Viren gestures, and a large array of items emerge from a sea that wasn't there before and is somehow encapsulated within the stage's bounds.

"On to the meat of things! So, it turns out I ended up with War as a domain. Twice. Bit of a surprise, to be honest, and I kind of want to be able to separate that out from the Tide, or else I'll be accused of being the second coming of the Bluewar. And that's just not my colour."

The items separate with the sea as the goblin-deity gestures, parting it.
On one side, an enormous, ominous suit of armour crackling with destructive potential, flanked by the shining, hard-edged forms of Planetary of War's Armor. Set upon a rising continental plate covered in wicked spikes, divine armaments, deific seeds of war, waters of death and personal loss and the conceptual notion of ever-greater weapons, War stands ready.
On the other, armours that bring forth living guardians from the sea in their multitudes stand in unity before swirling Planetary of Oceans' Togas. The sea upon which they stand grows silvery and mirror-smooth, a sanctuary dividing what lies above from what lies within the waves. Nestled within its flowing embrace flow the essence of adaptive miracles, deific seeds of the ocean, battle-preparation-erasing waters, and the conceptual notion of ever-greater armour. The Tide stands ready.

Both halves rush together, either to do battle or merge in glorious, terrible harmony as a tide of neverending war.

"Aaaaaand stop right there!"

The scene freezes, held still between heartbeats. Viren strolls out from stage left, holding an elaborate cocktail within which scenes of warfare play out in all of its forms... except aquatic.

"So, as it turns out, there's the perfect drink for separating my War from my Water. War-ter. Hah. Granted, it's more tilted to my more-numerous chaotic cousins, buuuut given I'm also the herald of the Chaotic new kids on the block I'm sure the drink'll let it slide. How do you separate the War from the (metaphorical) Waves? By declaring it a War Without Porpoise, of course!"

The goblin-deity pitches the drink (which is, thanks to Tide-unity, many of the same drink) casually over his shoulder between the two sides, temporally freezing precisely in-between the two about-to-clash halves.

"Aaaaand just to make sure it all works out, I'll do a bit of pre-emptive laundry and make sure it filters out all those Impurities, properly applying my chosen beverage-detergent. Can't be mixing the whites with the metaphysical conceptual bloodshed, otherwise it'll come out all pink and angry. Or go all race-war. Let me tell you, not a good look."

He clicks his fingers, and the scene unfreezes. With a thunderous crash of waves, the TIde obeys.

Re: Combo Contest: The Drunk Baboon Combat-Fashion Show

Post by Lord Gadigan »

Ave stumbles on stage. It's apparent from his ruddy face and vaguely unfocused eyes that he's been hitting the sauce for some time already. He's got a walkie-talkie that he's muttering in to.

"Had to sign shome paperwork to get the shpatial clearance for this... hope itsh worth it. Bring in the shtuff!"

Spatial windows ripple open across the stage, revealing different locations. Blue skies overlook gorgeous mountain ranges sparkling with magic. A hunk of ivory, carved from the thrones of the Titans themselves floats in a nebula of stars, radiating potency. Forty-two beautifully gilded bathtubs in a pristine mansion's parlor. Eight Hundred THOUSAND bottles of vodka, stacked in a massive pyramid.

It's like a scene out of the second third of an episode of a Super Sentai show. - The Titanthrone Ivory serves as the core, shaping itself into a smaller throne- a command center- a cockpit- a Head. A rumbling fills the entire venue as entire mountain ranges pour through the portals, compressing and spiraling around the throne-core as they form Limbs of Alabaster, Obsidian, and Stone. The stage has expanded, ceiling raising as the monumental whatever-it's-going-to-be rises. The entire room's sinuses are cleared as an endless stream of vodka begins filling titanic Golden Bathtubs, running in rivulets from the new vodka-springs at the tops of the mountain ranges making up the armor. The vodka-falls crash down onto the stage as the ocean of liquor continues to flow, baptizing and filling the new what-ever, crashing over the edge of the stage and into the audience.

It all gets a bit hazy after that.

Drinkless, probably incoherent Combo:

Accounting:

-Mountain Range's Worth of X are all from Vrishni.
-Titanthrone Ivory is from an Orihalcum kindly given to me by Cael, off of Rosaline, run through Volatilis' Progress-Abilities.
-The Golden Bathtub combo is entirely replicable. Doing so costs me 229,840,800 Gold (From Ave) and 84 Purity, taken from Nole. I have to use abilities from Heracles and Darston to make a pair of Purity derivatives, whose permission I have received).
-The 833,333 Vodka costs me 250,000,000 gold, also from Ave.

Titanic Walking Bathtub with Integrated Alcoho-Motion Technology- (Accessory, Container, Water & Earth & Physical & Technology, 250,000,000 Gold) +250,000 Defense, +2,500,000 HP as a non-stacking bonus, Wielder may choose to not count as being in Zones, Terrain, and Phantom Terrains created by sources below Level 80, Wielder may choose, upon switching rows, up to 30 times per round, to destroy a Zone, Terrain, or Phantom Terrain created by a source below Level 80, Wielder has a 2,000% chance of being afflicted with Poison: Drunk at the start of each round, at the start of each of wielder's actions, and at the end of each round, Wielder must be Level 40 or greater

It is a bathtub that can casually step on and flatten mountains, made of an ancient and powerful ivory associated with Titans - shining a marbly white with gold feet. It has been augmented with futuristic technology, containing multiple sensor matrixes that, combined with vast quantities of potent alcohol that fill the bathtub, suspend and stabilize the user's position in the bathtub's center, with swimming-maneuver-directed control systems that use the positioning of particular types of alcohol in the swirling mixture, force and direction of swim strokes, and other factors, to offer dynamic (and patented on over 40,000,000 worlds) Alcoho-Motion Technology. This tech requires that the wielder, to maintain bathtub motility and forcefield shield-systems, continually drinks alcohol while piloting the massive construct.
